Problem being that Thomson is part of the biggest Travel Agent in Europe these days - namely TUI. And it's ran by Papes
Are you about to suggest Rangers haven't? Orebro might disagree...£150,000 Regardless of what term you might want to use, what have other teams done to Rangers and is it worse than not paying them what they're due?
jardine looks like a bit of a bawsack with all this tbh i still dont get that you think teams are "putting the boot in" the sfa made the decision not the spl if you exit admin then whats the prob? if you dont, why should a "newco" automatically get back in - livi didnt when they went bust im not for chucking rangers out - but if their attitude was a little more penitent (catholic school education ya bas!) then i think supporters of other teams might be a bit more inclined to sympathise
(5) Disciplinary Rule 71 (By not acting in the best interests of Association Football by failing to pay to Dunfermline AFC by 21st February 2012, monies due to them for the Scottish Premier League match played on 11th February 2012, pursuant to Rule C14.5 of the Rules of the Scottish Premier League.) 6 2 Notice of Complaint against Rangers FC 5th February 2012 (1) Disciplinary Rule 325 (By failing to pay to Dundee United FC, on the day of the above match, monies due under Rule 46(c)(3) and (e) of the Scottish FA’s Cup Competition Rules; being Dundee United FC’s share of receipts for the above match.) and (2) Disciplinary Rule 325 (By failing to pay to the Scottish FA, within three days of the above match, monies due under Rule 46(c)(1) of the Scottish FA’s Cup Competition Rules; being the Scottish FA’s levy on admission charges for the above match.)
To my mind it's more to do with what these teams are going to do to us. It's in the current SPL rules that the share can be passed to a newco at their discretion. What the Gang of Ten are meeting about in the "fair play" farce is to decide how to change the rules to punish Rangers for them exercising that discretion. In other words punish us for what they want. Now, we shat the nest and should take our lumps and my view is that a newco has no business being in the SPL. We should be booted and start from the 3rd Div. However, changing the rules to punish us for them exercising an existing discretion is a little bit galling. If they want to keep us there, fine, exercise that discretion within the existing rules. Otherwise boot us to the 3rd.
could it not be viewed as a trade off though gambol? we transfer the share (even though we didnt with other clubs) but you have to be punished by x y and z is one or 2 seasons rebuilding really a big deal anyway? whereas i think going to the 3rd would be a kick in the nuts for you guys - regardless of what anyone may think, the best players you are going to get are 1st division lower prem ones a la gretna - and then when you do get back in the spl you would need to build a team to re-challenge anyway
