Telling you Uefa and PL (etc) are really scared that losing these clubs would be the end of their gravy train. Gotta keep them sweet.

Notice the revamped CL hasn't been voted in yet, despite we were told it was all set to be put through. Going back to the drawing board with that.

I thought it had been on the day? Was it just announced then?

They were supposed to ratify it the day after the ESL was announced.

Haven't heard of it being voted in since. Could have missed it in all the hub-bub though.

Brighton is the same. They separate sections of the train station and your ticket gives you free access to the train from brighton station to falmer which then a 5 min walk to the stadium

Utd owners, arsenal owners and spurs owners to pay the fine not their clubs.

    Lfc stoney silence.

Fsg need to actually formally speak on it as they have returned to bad habits of just assuming fans will take it.

They need to formally address the issue openly. Who pays, when and again apologise.

Juve facing expulsion from Serie A if they dont withdraw in time. Would also guess that would include any Uefa tournaments as well.

Be interesting if Barca, Real and Juve stuck to their position and were barred from any current competitions. Mass exodus of players? Stuck playing friendly games? Would they have to work their way up through the leagues if the did decide to rejoin?

They’re playing a game imo. As in theory the 3 remaining members would receive the withdrawal penalties from the clubs who back tracked. The withdrawal costs made public early on by Der Spiegel were huge, and all 3 are skint. It’s a last desperate act before they throw their hand in imo.

It's a threat by serie a who feel juve are weak enough to fold.

I am sure they were more worried initially but once the Milan clubs jumped out they have been waiting and wondering why juve are playing the game.

UEFA have probably tapped bother leagues on the shoulder but only serie a feel brave enough

We wont be as the contract also stated a date by end of june where if its not formed it's all moot.

The UEFA guys have threatened a bit more sanction for not ending it so quite what they have got as a liability to hang on in is anyone's guess.

I’ve not seen anything relating to the June date tbh, and their position makes no sense unless there’s some potential fiscal reward for hanging on to something that’s patently dead.

Theres something that we dont know about involved in their position for sure.

UEFA getting them threatened means it's not a total irrelevance.

There is a clause in the contract that the ESL can only go ahead if 70% - nine of the 12 - of the founder members were still committed to the project on July 10.

Clearly as we stand today there is no way this can ever happen. Therefore the 3 staying in are doing so for some reason, be that to force some uefa decision or or out pure stupidity.

All the 9 who left need say is we don't agree on july 10th and thats game over. No esl, no 130million, no possibility for suing for money off the other 9.

I suspect you are wrong here, if all 12 signed an agreement that pulling out would incur a charge then that will stand if the project goes ahead or not. If they had all accepted that it was unviable or if the law prevented it that would be a different scenario.

A good week for Liverpool just got better. FSG have agreed to fan representation on the board following talks with @spiritofshankly

The owners have also vowed to cover the costs of the Super League debacle rather than burden the club with them. #LFC

    https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/an...ation-on-major-fan-facing-strategic-decisions

Liverpool FC is set to launch a new Supporters Board in a new initiative which will deliver meaningful fan representation at main board and executive levels as part of the club's commitment to put supporters at the heart of its decision-making processes......

Crucially, this consultation process will be enshrined in the club’s Articles of Association and a legally binding Memorandum of Understanding between the club and the Official Liverpool Supporters Trust will be entered into, thereby ensuring supporters input on fan issues via structured dialogue......

Billy Hogan, chief executive of Liverpool FC, said: “Firstly I’d like to thank all those supporters we’ve either met in person from the Liverpool Supporters Trust or received feedback from over the past few weeks. This input has been invaluable and has helped us to reach a point at which we have been able to agree the principles that will lead to the creation of a new Supporters Board.

“The focus over the last few weeks of dialogue has been to find a long-term solution that is in the best interests of Liverpool FC and its supporters – one that we firmly believe is not only meaningful but also wholly in keeping with the values and aspirations of the club......”

It's a massive difference between what sos were asking for and what is given. You.get to come along when we decide a topic might be of interest but there you go

It actually isn't. I've just reread their four point proposal and they've got every one.

Fan representation at board level on issues that impact fans.

A formal agreement to improve supporter engagement.

FSG collaborate with SoS to lead reform agenda.

A commitment that FSG pay costs incurred in relation to withdrawal.

They got them all agreed to. <ok>
