This is true I can assure you that we really would be, rank outsiders smashing their way to the title with over 100 goals footy dreams fellas but the combination of Rodgers trying to attack a team that was willing to give us a point and Stevie slipping on his arse turned the dream into fun for all other supporters. There's always next year though.
It would have been a great achievement no arguing with that! I actually thought second was impressive but second doesn't come with accolades or get remembered.
Good result for Liverpool and for Liverpool haters. Liverpool should win occasionally. Otherwise they will Sack him and they might improve. I am happy FSG won't sack him and Liverpool will continue to be sh*t.
Let's start a "Save Our Brendan" campaign, we can make little badges with Rodgers' face on it and they'll say "S.O.B." in big letters, I think it's perfect
Unfortunately even the RS can have periods of lucidity when they realise that they have an absolute dunce as manager. In 3 seasons, he's taken them backwards. He's still living off a runners up place 100% produced by the Rat despite him as manager. If they lose against Everton, a much better team than them, the RS will go for Klopp. He could the chavs next manager at any instant. And I think the RS would be absolutely stupid to lose him.
I hope Liverpool win by a single own goal, and play so bad the owners decide enough's enough. With Jose taking all the headlines my worry is Bodgers might scrape through under the radar I just want these 'Sack Threads' to hurry up and end
I know it wasn't purely down to Suarez, but for one player to have so much influence on a team is incredible. Not sure if I've witnessed it before tbh. Show's how good he was/is. People don't like him, but he's one of very few truly world class players to have graced the PL. Now he's gone it just magnifies Bodgers naivety as a PL manager. Don't get me wrong Rodgers could manage a club with low expectations very well, but the pressure of Liverpool is far too much for him. I was probably one of the last fans to want him out, but I just can't find any argument to suggest he deserves to stay, our decline is happening fast. It has to stop, so we need the change NOW!
It wasn't just Suarez. Sterling, Gerrard and Sturridge were also playing very well. Sterling had a mardy last year, Sturridge was injured and Gerrard's legs went. It's not as though Suarez is carrying Barca right now. In fact quite the opposite. Messi is injured and they all of a sudden look average.
If anything it was more to do with the others than with Suarez. Suarez had a great season the previous year as well - scored a lot of goals, runner up in POTY and was the focus of the Liverpool team. Which finished seventh, 28 points off the pace with most of other the players patently not as committed as him. What really changed in 13/14 was Sturridge having his one good season, and other Liverpool players playing out of their skins when they saw how thin the competition was for the title, and that they actually had a chance of winning it. It was the first time since 2009 that Liverpool actually had a full team of players who looked like they cared about every result, rather than the current bunch of bodgers phoning it in for all but the big games.
so he is sacked .. guess at the end he will be walking alone after all.. hhhhh.. all this bullshits are just a song for them isn't?
