    League Table
Here is our first table of the year which shows that Bodbo has moved into an early lead ahead of Yorkie and Brian. No form as yet to predict on which makes it a little difficult. A disastrous weekend for the Horns - but we are above Chelsea and West Ham in the table. Andy has, very graciously, let his kids build up an early lead in the family table - this is what dads are for. Still a couple of normal tippers who haven't posted yet, but there is still time for late comers.

If it wasn't for our result I'd be hoping the season could end now! And I had WHU-Citeh as 0-4. I could have been out of sight.
Anyway, if WFC don't get back to winning ways, i'll drop down sharpish. I cannot bring myself to predict a loss for them.

    League table
Brian has laid down the gauntlet early by being the first to reach the 200 mark total. The second highest score of the day was enough to take first position. Our guest from the BBC is hovering in second with a game in hand (Wolves v Man. Utd), which he has down as 1-1, but, even with a maximum 25 he would remain in second. Highest score of the round was by Chris with an impressive 124, which moves him into 3rd. Brian's mate Paul (half Gunner half Hornet) moves into 4th. Matej leads the family table at the moment. Just a reminder that Brian is trying to be the first to ever win the league two years running. Lots of time yet though.

Edited to make account of a mistake which was made on Mark Lawrenson's score. I misread his Liverpool tip for Friday night and gave hime 40 points too many - which I have now deducted (with pleasure <cheers>. He is now joint 10th as opposed to second. That is until any adjustments from the Wolves game tonight. The table has now been adjusted for a second time <doh> because he got maximum points from the game at Molineux.

The table has now been adjusted because of a mistake (mine !) in counting up Lawro's score - I gave him too many at the first count <doh>

    League Table

A low scoring week for many of us, with surprise results at Old Trafford and at Spurs. The Hornets have still not realized that the season has started and so optimistic tipping didn't bring the desired results. Highest score of the round was our guest from the BBC with 86 which moves him into second. Respectable scores for Matej and our Mark bring them into 3rd and 4th. Brian retains top spot with another consistent score.

My own experience of this round went along the lines of hoping that the Horns would pop in a winner - seeing as how a point is of little use. Sending telepathic messages to Jürgen Klopp with the message that 2-0 was enough - I mean they didn't need a third <doh> Just to spite me even further the Abu Dhabi all stars also scored one goal too many. To make it all complete, the flash scores programme showed a Villa equalizer (which would have saved the day) but promptly cancelled it a minute later. At the other end of the table it was a dramatic week. With Matej storming into poll position, and Frenchie moving from 12th to 3rd in one fell swoop. Even this was not the highest jump of the day with honours going to Seb with the weeks highest score of 166 - moving him from second last up to 5th. We now have a two week break for the internationals next week.

Thanks a lot Cologne. If it hadn't been for that Watford reject at Everton I would have really cracked it. Well done to Matej and Seb.<ok>

All change at the top again as a result of the Horns come back against Arsenal. Congrats to Scullion for tipping 2-2 for the big match, which moves him into the lead with the highest score of 116. Charlie and Hackney also picked up maximum points for this one. Elsewhere a low scoring week. Lawro moves up into third behind Matej in second.

Well, a miserable day for the Hornets which we need to put behind us quickly. Our friend Paul (the Gunner) was the closest to tipping the Watford result <doh>, he also placed his joker on Spurs losing in the way they did thus earning the weeks highest score. The highest Hornet of the day was Bodbo with 96. Everywhere else low scoring was the order of the day. Matej stormed back into top position ahead of Scullion and our guest from the BBC. Lots of points missed (and won) on Wolves equalizing after 6 mins. of stoppage time when the text commentary had indicated that there would only be 2 of them <doh> Hopefully the Hornets can forget about this and move on.

What a dreadful day to get such a 'good' result. Fortunately I spent the w/e cycling in the Highlands with my son. No news for over a day. However, our grandson, resident in Hebden Bridge, is (of course) a Hornet (ever since seeing GD at Huddersfield) and is surrounded by plastic citeh fans. I felt for him yesteday.
Oh well, onward and upward guaranteed !

Despite the Horns losing it was quite a high scoring round this time with 5 of us topping the 100 mark (well 4 Horns and him from the BBC). Highest of the round was Frenchie, moving into fifth. Matej still leads but no really great gaps appearing as yet with about 70 points separating the first 6 places.

She actually got 46. It was mostly guesswork on her part - being originally from Cologne she likes Kloppo and always thinks that Liverpool are going to win. She has been in both Liverpool and Manchester (actually lived near Old Trafford for a short time), associates Chelsea with the Royal Military Hospital (Chelsea Pensioners) where my dad was for so many years. Has only been inside one football stadium in her life - the Vic !
