A great weekend for the Horns which sees Pep having to arch his neck to see where we are in the table. A high scoring round on the pitch with 37 goals going in over the 10 fixtures, which is well above the average. There were also no draws. This made tipping a bit difficult for us. Our first league table of the season has an Antipodian flavour to it with NZ gaining the first 100 score to move into first. Our Gunner was the only one to tip on the Spuds to win today ! and he moves into second. Our reigning champion Hackney moves into third. Mrs Andy won the family honours - as did Mrs. Fez. ​

The lead has changed after the completion of the second round but it's all very close at the top. Highest of the day was by Matej with 99 followed by Kev with 94. Otherwise the scoring was lower than average. Lawro was the only one to tip the Brighton win but he, fortunately, got the scoreline wrong ! He still has an outstanding tip which is for tomorrow nights West Ham fixture. The rest of us had Udinese v Juventus - I actually waited until the final whistle of that only to find the wait was in vain as all of us had tipped on the Juventus win. Should Lawro score anything on tomorrows match I will update the table to account for that. On the pitch home advantage is starting to emerge again as a factor - last season there were more away wins than home ones but the signs are that this has changed back with the return of fans to stadiums. ​

Here is the table after only 3 completed rounds and going into the international break. Carlisle United (alias NZ) has moved back into the lead with the highest score of the round - 123. This means he has averaged nearly 100 per round so far ! Those close to the top also scored some of the highest points this week which has stretched things out a little. Matej moved into second with 104, and Paul suffered the unusual situation of getting 98 yet dropping two places. 100+ scores also for Seb and for Hackney. Seb was the only one to get the Watford scoreline right. Lawro from the BBC is struggling a bit at the moment ! We now have a boring international break for two weeks.​

Round 4 has thrown up a few changes in the table with Paul and Matej changing places and Andy storming up the table with the weeks highest score of 123 this being largely decided by the Hornet's result Frenchie also made hay with 103 moving him up 8 places. Seb also did well this week with 93. All very tight at the top still with only 15 points separating the top three - then comes a larger gap but still very early days yet. Lawro from the BBC is finding the competition on here a bit tough at the moment !​

A great weekend for the Horns , and a great one for a couple of the posters on here. As is normal I wasn't one of them, being cursed by late goals. Liverpool really didn't need to add a third , I mean 2-0 would have been quite sufficient - Klopp just did that to spite me ! Likewise - did the ref really have to add on 9 minutes at Loftus Road ? Lots of us were either undone or made hay through late goals such as United's jammy winner at West Ham ! The two who really did make hay were Simon, who did his Dad's name proud with 145 this week, moving him up into second, just behind Matej who moved up from third. Second highest of the day was by Yorkie with 105. Andy is still having to crane his neck to view his kids.​
