Labour splits erupt over rail strikes as frontbench MPs defy Sir Keir Starmer to join picket lines Fresh divisions within Labour erupted on Tuesday as frontbench MPs defied the party leadership’s warning to avoid joining picket lines in support of striking workers on the railways. Sir Keir Starmer emailed his Shadow Cabinet team, spelling out that they face the sack if they take part in any protests outside stations on the morning of the biggest rail strike in 30 years. It came as Shadow Treasury chief secretary Pat McFadden on Tuesday morning insisted to colleagues that joining picket lines will not resolve the dispute between the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union and rail operators. The Conservatives have sought to use the row to claim Labour is on the side of the striking workers who have caused chaos for millions of commuters, with Sir Keir eager not to provide the Government with further ammunition for its attacks. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/worl...pc=U531&cvid=b1c09ab8cd3a4c8e8f523f5784601988
Lefty Loony woke Labour are all for illegal immigrants and not working for a living. Utter ****s and certainly not for the ordinary working class. Dame Beer Korma is a ****ing twat.

The problem with Keir Starmer is much worse than being boring Labour’s real problem is that it has nothing to say to ordinary people on the defining issue of the cost of living. All of Labour’s leading politicians went out of their way to show they didn’t back this week’s rail strikes. Shadow cabinet member Lisa Nandy boasted that only Labour would be able to get strikes called off for talks with bosses who don’t want to pay up. “The reason that you haven’t got strikes in Wales and you have got strikes in England is because in Wales you’ve got a Labour government, and in England you’ve got a Tory government,” she said. https://socialistworker.co.uk/news/the-problem-with-keir-starmer-is-much-worse-than-being-boring/
You do realise that the railways have had massive bailouts from the government over the last few years with your money? That's because they do stupid things like paying a driver £59k pa for keeping a deadman switch closed, keeping to the speed limit of the track and watching for red lights. Compare that to a HGV driver who has to keep to speed limits, watch out for red lights and actually drive a massive vehicle around crowded narrow roads (including backwards) yet earning between £27k and £30k. Oh, and the HGV driver never knows how long his trip is going to take because of road conditions and loading/unloading waiting times. Lets all cry for the rail men
