****ing hell that’s taking Ireland 0 to new levels. That prediction might be classed as a hate crime by the thin of skin.
Republic of Ireland 3 Luxembourg 1 Israel 1 Scotland 1 Albania 0 England 3 Wales 2 Czech Republic 1 England 2 Poland 1 N.Ireland 1 Bulgaria 0
I didn't even realise that. Both sides are lacking in the scoring department of late. I saw this stat last night ... 'Bayern Munich scored 116 goals in the time between Ireland scored their first and second goals under Stephen Kenny.'

Stephen Kenny (no relation) has done well managing semi-pro teams in the League of Ireland and he has got one or two to Europa League group stages. I think at one stage he managed a Scottish team (possibly Livingston - but I could be wrong). Guess how much he is on per year, is it 6-8 international games per calendar year? Would you believe he is paid 540,000 euros per year. Not a lot compared to some managers but it is still a huge salary for somebody with his CV. The President of the United States gets 400,000 Dollars per year. Typical FAI - paying Hollywood salaries to bad manager's. No wonder they are skint.

He was at Dunfermline for a year. I'd have no idea to what I would've guessed if you asked me how much Kenny was getting paid Fin. I don't know if just over 10,000 euros a week is fair pay or not for a manager of his pedigree. But as you say, if the FIA are skint it does seem a lot. I wonder how much they paid Trapattoni?
The salary of SK is not far off double what the President of the U.S. gets so for a man with his CV, he is on an awful lot of money. Considering the FAI was 70m euro in the red and had to be bailed out by the Irish Government, 540k is huge. A corrupt (allegedly) CEO - John Delaney, presided over that financial disaster. Trappatoni's salary was been bankrolled by Denis O'Brien who is a media tycoon and one of the richest men in the country. Trappatoni was getting paid 2m euro a year which was being fully paid by O'Brien. Back to predictions.
