1 point off the drop as we speak and it's fairly clear most of the revenues the club takes in is going into funding this stadium. I could see the club going into administration if relegation happens. I just do not know if moshiri really has the funds to cover this and lend
Joe bitter Anderson has left Liverpool City Council in an awful state. The fact he's no longer under police investigation is shameful. https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/inspection-into-the-governance-of-liverpool-city-council This council has left so many areas in **** and the corruption....
No. Its literally the pitch size doesn't meet regulation. I am kind of surprised arsenal are not in on the party but maybe London can only have 3 stadia?
The minimum pitch is 105x68m Ours is 101x68m. It's actually that simple. We don't meet the minimum so will never have a europa final (cl required even bigger stadium anyway) and can't host international. If England ever get another world cup tournament then we cannot be included. This rule ce in after euro.1996.
If we have a thing it's for Labour politicians, not Andersons. She stood as the Labour mayoral candidate and was elected. Not.really relevant but Joe is white, Joanne is black.
most of the revenues goes to pay their wages which is the thing which is the biggest worry for them - last i saw it was just under 90% of revenue went in wages .
Was that before ar after James and richarilson left mate? If its recent it'd be very very worrying alright
before Richarlison but after James they also got a bunch of others of the wage bill in the summer but off the top of my head they signed Coady , that other CB from Burnley whose name has left my head , Onana ,Gueye , Maupay , McNeill and that will have added a fair chunk .
I see an athletic review of their accounts down in March this year (but behind paywall) The headline says 89% in 19/20 rising to 95% in 20/21. That is scary stuff. If there's literally nothing left for anything then that stadium looks inexplicable.
that is why they need a new stadium but with Usmanov sanctioned , rampant inflation and their precarious league position you wonder how willing lenders will be to finance it .
Yeah, the oligarchs was the hand behind the project imo. Moshiri seems quite willing to pony up cash at least over covid but he simply is not a multi billionaire as I understood it so he can't afford this if it goes tits up in the league.
I think their accounts show that they are in debt for £50m and the £250m they owe Moshiri is down as equity. If he walks away, they will be in real trouble. You have to wonder what he's getting out of his ownership.
all his money came from Usmanov and afaik is still chairman of the board of directors of Usmanovs main company . If they go down they have to get out first go or else they will inevitably break EFL sustainability rules and they do enforce them unlike PL.
