I predict England will win this game, then go on to dull us out completely in the next game & Fabio will moan about the media not getting behind the team.
It is strange as I always used to enjoy watching England and best of all I liked the Home Internationals but since the greedy buggers at the FA decided to go for the money and broadcast on Sky I no longer care what happens to the National team. The FA are now so greedy that I have been waiting for them to anounce that the national anthem is open for sponsor ship offers. I can see the day at Wembley when over the Tannoy the anouncer says please be upstanding for the Toyota sponsored national anthem.
Has to be one of the worst England teams of all time. Would get torn to shreads against the big boys. How many of this team would get into the England team that beat Germany 5-1 this week 10 years ago?
I don't rate downing, barry at all. Haven't even seen downing do anything. Barry hasn't been much better. Then you have walcott who's been ruined by wenger and joe 'big headed' hart.
Early days for this squad, negativity won't help, it is very much an embryo side, with so many overseas players in the Premier, good English players are not getting the chance to flourish.
That is the problem. Too many foreign imports has massively hampered the national side. They are now miles behind the worlds best. The midfield for starters is the worst midfield I have ever seen. In fact the midfield has been a problem since Scholes retired.
I think someone needs to watch a few more England matches, if they think that was the worst midfield they have EVER seen.
Downing needs to be dropped, it didn't work with young behind rooney. Young on the left would work better. As for the monkey chants it shows yet again a former communist state putting football in the pits.
**** off with your constant moaning!! Always banging on about Martin and how ****e he is and whenever you comment on anything it's all doom and gloom on the south coast and now england too! Your location answer sums you up perfectly.
Memorably, when Capello was asked about the future of England after the world he mentioned Zamora and Dawson. 12 months on it's not so bleak now with some decent talent emerging
Credit where it's due. I like some of these new English players adding a freshness to the squad. We are now starting to play a bit more fluently and on the ground. The problem is we are about 5-10 years late!
And we should have expected nothing less, Bulgaria should be a routine victory for a team like england, no matter who is playing. What I am pointing to is next year when these players come up against the Dutch, Spanish, Germans etc... They arn't going to be able to compete.
Right, yes that's a valid point, but that doesn't make them the worst midfield in history as you were implying earlier.
