Well nobody but Mannone had a good game there. Still away points are always welcome so that'll do me.
Some on here being a bit harsh... no easy in the games in the permier league. Thought we played really well in the first half and early doors second half, although Burnley did get more and more into it as the game went on. Poor game from Catts by his standards, I'd agree Rodwell was our best player in the first half but faded in the second... that's to be expected though. Personally would have brought Gomez on a bit earlier but that's just nitpicking.
Another point on the board. The worry is the lack of goals coming from the strikers but it is still early days.
Scrappy game on a small pitch mate, we're best attacking space. Just one of those games. You're right, no games are easy. Good point and no need to panic from my quarters.
Yet again we fail to win one of 'those' games! Against poor sides we never seem to be able to stick the knife in! Still....last season we would have lost this game but the sooner we get our first win the better, obviously, otherwise it might start playing on the players minds! I don't think that we have actually deserved to win any of our games yet this season, which is worrying.
Disagree mate. Burnley are a poor side that we couldn't turn over. Doesn't bare thinking about, if they had better forwards, they could have bounced us. We have to be winning these games not hoping for scraps. Agree about Rodwell looks like he is getting there, impressive 100% passing accuracy that first half. Can't believe how many times we were in attacking positions their half and turned around and ended back with Mannone being put under pressure having to hoof the ball, back to where the ball had been originally.
Oh we're suffering a slow start no doubt about it, but constantly picking up points through it is a good thing. Clean sheet away is fine by me.
This. If we want to kick on this season these are the games we need to win. I just hope not splashing out on a striker is gona come back to haunt us!
Burnley have already 3 clan sheets in the premier league at home. Scoring against them wont be easy for any team except the likes of Chelsea imo. I think the team will keep getting better and better over the next few weeks. We showed glimpses of what Poyet wants the team playing like and we will see more and more of it as the team gels.
We play to much square ball with no penetration. Gus sets us up like Spurs or Southampton but falls woefully short. Dare I say it, IT'S F**kin TEDIOUS to watch !
We kept the ball well, no real penetration. Burnley were well organised and hard to break down, thought we would wear them down second half but the subs made us worse today. Johnson should have stayed on. Burnley looked the more likely towards the end but then PVA nearly nicked it for us. Wickham had to feed off scraps today. Could have put giacc' through but then giacc had a couple of shots where he could have put a man through.
