I'm surprised at both @JakartaToon and @Geordieginola for not realising the alphabet starts with a H then an E then a N and so on
You have lost me completely but I suspect this is one of those posts where I am meant to set you up to give us the punchline.
So when you are pronouncing the single letter its: An aitch An eeee An ennn Just admit when you are wrong mate. I won’t think any less of you.
Does any of it even matter as long as the other person understands what you're saying. Less education on such matters and more education on how to make money and how to get laid would be my advice
I think Gayle was unlucky, but he seems more likely to score than Almiron. I don't like the sound of Almiron and Joelinton, that simply hasn't produced results. The two strikers really caused spurs problems, even if they couldn't always finished. On another day they could have had more goals.
The win percentage with the likes of wilson and ASM compared to the likes of Almiron and Joelinton says it all. Almiron is our best player when we're absent Wilson and ASM, who prove their worth with the win percentage we have when they're in the squad. Joelinton the lone striker amongst attacking mids has been woefully unsuccessful, I don't agree with making him a lone striker. He's at best a way to get the ball up the pitch. We switched to two strikers and looked more efficient. Joelinton wont be dropped, and he just scored so we cannot just drop him now when he actually looked a decent threat, and Gayle was unlucky not to have scored IMO. I wouldn't be playing 3 at the back vs Burnley considering the amount of crosses that are going to be pinged in and their success on the wings. I'd play - ----------Gayle----Joelinton--------- Ritchie----Longstaff--Shelvey---ASM Dummett----Clark---Lascelles--Manq -------------------Dubravka-------------- If Almiron is gonna play he can only play as a CAM. He's not a winger, and he can't be relied on to score. ----------------------Gayle----------------- ------Joelinton-----Almiron----ASM---- --------------Shelvey--Longstaff---- Dummett--Clark--Lascelles----Manquillo --------------------Dubravka------------ I'd drop Joelinton personally, but he's not going to be dropped so no point is factoring him out.
I would say Almiron and Wilson would be more productive than utilising ASM. Almiron also has the benefit of his defensive work which considering our shocking Central midfielders he is sorely needed especially with Shelvey playing and no Hayden. My team would be Dubs Fede.......Lascelles......Clark Murphy and Ritchie as wing backs Longstaff and Willock in the middle Almiron and ASM just behind Wilson (though I would consider having Joelinton in for ASM)
Several points: 1) Bruce will never, ever play 4-2-3-1. He's a mini-Ashley, if its what the fans/public want, its the last thing that'll happen. 2) Bruce NEVER changes if a formation has even a modicum of success. The split striker that worked once was played to death. 5-3-2 will now be played to death. 3) Joelinton doesn't even deserve to be dropped. So basically try and make a 5-3-2 work - I'd love to see a midfield trio of Almiron, Longstaff holding a bit and ASM behind Joelinton and Wilson/Gayle. Let them worry about us.
If Wilson, ASM and Almiron are all fit, they absolutely start. I don't think it's a surprise that Joelinton plays better when he is up front as a second striker - we saw it with Gayle this weekend, and we've seen it previously with Wilson and at Hoffenheim. I don't think you can get all 4 into the same team, unless you do something like: ...Wilson Joelinton ..........ASM ...Willock Longstaff Almiron ASM has that free role. When he is in the middle, Willock/Almiron stay CM but drift a bit/defender comes up. I'd like the idea of Almiron being able to drive with the ball and you always need someone with his energy in the middle. It's too attacking for Bruce but I think it would be fun.
Oh ****,didn't realise Wilson could be back for Burnley, just saw the update, thought he was out for much longer. I think our best bet, though is playing two ACTUAL strikers up top. No false 9s, no wingers up top. I'm going to include Joelinton because he's obviously going to played. And as others have pointed out, even though I'd like to play 4-4-2, it probably wont happen. A realistic line up perhaps? ------Gayle/Wilson----Joelinton------ -------------Almiron/ASM-------------- ----Willock----Shelvey--Longstaff---- Ritchie---------------------------------Murphy --------Clark--Lascelles-Fernandez------ -----------------------Dubravka-------------
Either would do me.. Either side is capable of a result vs Burnley providing they give 100% because that's Burnleys strongest asset... Effort and commitment to the Cause
