Looks like that's the end of George's points. Was it pneumatic leak, seems like they were trying to top up?
Something happening when he was in the points was inevitable. I can see him joining Merc and becoming Bottas 2.0
I think Merc would be wise to get him in the car as no2 to learn and then if good enough to take over when Lewis retires.
Why is it that since rear flexi wings new tests we only seem to see red bulls wings? You can see their front wing flexing but no on board of Merc to compare!
Looks like Charles has forgotten how long the rear of his car is! He is chopping the cars noses off after his overtakes.
In fairness, Kimi drifted out as much (if not more) than Charles drifted in. Hell of a recovery drive from Chaz.
This has been bland today hasn’t it. Hope next week is a little better. Softer tyres so let’s see how that goes
Honda have created a great pu. Interesting that Merc keep banging on about a Honda pu upgrade but they are homologated at beginning of season aren't they?
Gotta hope Merc can find something somewhere soon...because RBR and Max are just steadily getting better and better.
"Reliability upgrades" are allowed, and I believe the second Honda PU for this season came with a significant "reliability" upgrade which happened to also add some performance. I'm not sure of this exactly, but I think Honda homologated their engine for the season with a significant boost in power, but not the reliability to be able to run it at 100%. They've then been able to make reliability upgrades to unlock that performance as the season progresses.
Agree fully with those compliments for Honda- they’ve done an amazing job when you consider the position they were in even in 2017. They were always going to get it right- such a shame McLaren went a year too early and had some idiotic management at the time. Red Bull are very lucky to have such a partner.
A 'reliability upgrade' that somehow offers 2/10ths sec per lap improvement - seems like Red Bull are up to their old tricks once again.
Well the argument is that the engine was always capable of delivering those extra 2/10ths - but perhaps it would have blown up after half a lap. Now it's more reliable, it won't.
