Next year…

 

No fun as such, decided to have a complete change and something relaxing and outdoors. So started up as a window cleaner First month good, so far all going well and quite enjoyable seeing finished results. Never had a physical job before always behind a desk so it's a nice change, not sure how I will cope when weather turns bad
Hopefully a good race this weekend. Merc might have managed to find some magic to catch Red Bull. It could be interesting or completely boring as they have all data from last weekend - hopefully tyres might make a difference.

To stop me singing George I have bone conductive headphones, so play anything but George
To be fair I don't have a ladder and don't intend using one. All work is from ground level with carbon fibre pole so nice and safe.
I did 18 years testing fuels & lubricants then developing gas turbines, jets and after burners, then software stuff, then 15 years running holiday accommodation. So this is a big change but another customer facing roll, so that's in comfort zone Enjoying things so far, nice to meet people and see their gardens

 

Please Please play George Formby, my children share the royalties with their cousins. Royalties from the song writer of some of his songs, not the performer. It is not a fortune but it is a nice treat when they get the cheque.

To be honest it's even more funny that George came up. Not only am I now a Window Cleaner but I live in Blackpool !!!!! So multiple songs from George are very applicable

He’s certainly gonna have a go in the new regs for a season or two!

I wonder if he was way ahead in drivers championship this year he would have still signed? i.e. does he really want to have the most drivers championships of any one so as far, an extra 2 years might give him that?
Will be good to see if Merc get it right and where Red Bull and the others are.

 

Makes me nervous as to what Mercedes will unveil.

 

Last year he seemed to be asking a lot of questions about his own future, about what he really wanted to do with his life He seemed to me like he was struggling mentally quite a lot, maybe made worse by the covid restrictions.

But at the start of this season, he seemed re-energized, and it felt like he was wanting to stick around. Glad he is..

Fortunately England are in the QF and don't need any points.

 

I do think he has seemed so much happier this year - maybe it's because he has competition. He has always said he wanted other teams closer performance wise but he said that when Merc were so far ahead, I did wonder if he meant it. Judging by him being so happy I think he really does enjoy competition and it's pushing him more than ever before.

 

There's a new target now... So that in itself could be a reason to want to keep going. He doesn't seem the type to want to back out of a scrap. And if he did, people would just say he walked as soon as it got tough.

 

Alfa looking like Q2, maybe even sneaking Q3.
