Well Fug me....a dude rang me today with a bit of a drawl....reckoned his name was James Taylor! Who...said Masky questionly? Anyways Masky is always willing to listen. He had heard that mighty Leeds United were in town and coming for three points...nothing less! Masky reminded James that Cardiff City hold the “Sword Of Damocles” over LU so to speak, and those aforementioned points are more important to us. No Gary Madine, aka...goal machine anymore granted, but we can do it! James finished the call and his parting shot to Masky was ”you’ve got a friend!” Not sure why he said that though! Crowd will be on our side so 2-0 to us! :emoticon-0103-cool::emoticon-0103-cool:

Does the prediction league start again?
    Is that your prediction maskey?
Anything could happen, and I need the points.

Funny thing Masky, Carly Simon called me to talk about the game. We also talked a bit about you but she said you're so vain. In terms of her relationship with me she said nobody does it better.

She agrees with you on the result though. 2.0 to us. Poor old James got it wrong again.

Got my full backs the wrong way <doh> around plus I’ve gone for a proper centre forward but suspect he’ll pick Paterson.

5 subs will be an advantage for City.

So Nin, other than Pato or Glatzel depending on who starts, and Etheridge, who would your other 7 subs be?

Flint, Pack, Murphy and Hoilett are shoe ins for me.

Ward if fit, Brad Smith as looking short at full back.

One to go, Whyte, Bamba or Bacuna?

Bacuna gives most flexibility so that's my 9.

Incredible to think 5 subs can come on. I recall when it was just one and it was often someone unsuited if there was an injury! Mind you some of the elder gents here will recall no subs at all!

I concur with your choices and agree Bacuna for his ability to play in several places

Yes, I remember no subs. A quick wipedown with the magic sponge, get up and get on with it. If movement limited get out on the wing and just be a nuisance.

We had some in our starting 11 like that earlier this season and they weren't much of a nuisance either, e.g. NML at Reading. <doh>

I can remember when players played in black boots that had been dubbined.

In my rugby playing days I kept 2 pairs of boots on the go. Training boots and playing boots. Trained mondays and wednesdays, so on wednesday after training they got stuffed with news paper. Dry by friday then a liberal dose of dubbin.
Sunday morning (for some reason, never got to it on a saturday night<cheers>) started the process with the playing boots.
Found that boots lasted a lot longer with my routine. With one pair, they'd never get dry in winter.

I still dubbin / wax my walking boots.
Something therapeutic about cleaning shoes / boots.

Fair few big injuries in the first half hour of the Arsenal/City game the other night. What’s the odds on Tomlin or Mendez rushing off to a flying start and redoing their recent injuries? <yikes>

A few injuries yesterday, the worse being Leno.

I wonder if Leeds will follow advice and travel the day of the match or if they stayed overnight. A few prem teams did appatently, though I dont know where would be open.

I anticipate a whole heap of you are going to the game today to cheer on our mighty Bluebirds, but may I remind readers that the game is a midday kick off and not the usual 3pm! Masky often recalls the time when one of our elderly members who will remain nameless, but should know better.....missed the game because he got it wrong! Think he caught the last 20 minutes or something! Just putting it out there pals! Doh! Gary Madine aka goal machine not available today...so we could struggle for goals! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Seems the "home team curse" continues with this restart of proceedings.

Eleven Championship games yesterday and only one home win - Blackburn did us a favour though they've gone above us for the moment.

Like to think we can get something today and even go as far as bucking the trend. <ok>

Unsurprisingly Tomlin & NML on bench after their long lay off. Suspect that Harris has the 5 subs new rule in mind.
