I will be amazed if the new owners keep him. And I don’t think they should the formation has been forced upon him and on top of that he is arrogant and stubborn. He may have changed his persona recently because he know the club is about to be sold but I can’t wait till he is gone. But lets just enjoy tonight it is now 3 wins in a row who would of thought it I certainly did not.
I think its a foregone conclusion anyway. Its a bit too late. But at least he's showing something at championship level and best wishes in his future career.
He is a young manager so you never know but he has never made an effort with the fans he has always felt like Ehab’s puppet
If he can sort out his prickliness in the press and not ban any form of critique - perhaps see a question as an opportunity to stake a case as opposed to 'being bullied' then he should do very well.
In my humble opinion, It’s McCann that’s the idiot or a hopeless yes man. He’s stuck rigidly to a formation that doesn’t work, He’s had success with an enforced change, or the shackles are off, as some say. This man is not a leader, or even his own man if the latter is true. To keep him on is like releasing a serial killer from prison, because he hasn’t murdered anyone for a while. This may seem like a severe parallel, but we are talking about our club .
Yes , if you read it properly I explained at the very beginning of the post it’s just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. I sincerely hope he turns himself round and becomes a successful manager, although his time here is done.
I dont know that to be true. I assume he got the job as head coach (not manager) under a certain premise which has come from above. I think he's stuck to the premise a little more rigidly than one might perhaps hope. We need to remember he's come in on a budget to do a job and he's shown some ability in the role. I wouldnt be at all surprised if he ends up at a big L1 club with aspirations or maybe even the next NI manager - in 5-10 years time he could be a much better coach than he is now.
