I don't think that Sigurdsson's had a real chance to show what he can do, yet. The system and personnel that we've used so far have starved him of service and left him in something of a no man's land. He's not been receiving the ball with any quality from midfield and the striker he's playing behind isn't good at holding it up, either. Unfortunately for the Icelander I think he'll probably be sacrificed to make way for Dempsey and Dembele, though I'm sure he'll still be involved, albeit from the bench and in the cups. It'll be up to him to force his way back into the side if that does happen, but he's got time on his side.
Yes, let's tell the manager what tactics to play, that worked out well with Harry. Spurs 0-2 Norwich Everyone is allowed an opinion of course, we all think we could do better, but if you think AVB is going to take a blind bit of notice of what tactics you think he should be playing then you're deluded. He will succeed or fail on his own terms, let's hope it's the former.
I'm not sure whether to take this as good news, or disturbing!.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ter-Owen-Coyle-went-to-Bolton-Wanderers.html#
"solidificate"???...can you see the likes of Lennon understanding that ****e, he must think all footballers have a degree. Tommy Doc is spot on.
is solidificate even a word? I have a degree and i don't know if its even a real word let alone what it means (although i can guess). The majority of footballers wouldn't have a clue surely.
I'd forgotten about Tom Doch. he said some priceless things. “Elton John decided he wanted to rename Watford and call it Queen of the South.” Tommy Docherty quote
The chairman says he is right behind me. I said, I'd rather you were in front of me Mr Chairman so I can see what you're doing !!
Yes. It's an Italian word which basically means to solidify. Not sure it'd come in that handy in Burnley, to be honest.
Burnley chiefs are unable to follow a PowerPoint presentation, so hired Brian Laws and were promptly relegated. #AvBsFault
The thing is, can they even prove that he applied for the job? The main reason I ask is because he'd been in the Academica job for three months when he was supposed to have applied for the Burnley job, and was clearly building a reputation there - so why dump that at the earliest opportunity to manage Burnley? It sounds remarkably made up to me...
