Strange one that Nin - 2 draws would bring us 2 points, but such is the points structure a win and a loss would give us 3. Better in the longer term, and if it had to be that way, which would be the worse to lose to for the run in? (assuming that we don't lose both of course....)
Granted but I was looking at it from the point of view that neither opponent gains on us. Just realised also aside from these 2 tricky fixtures we’ve got away trips to Reading & Brentford who’ll probably by then got over there bad form plus those down west
You're assuming of course that Middlesbrough wont beat the Wurzels up there midweek whilst we're just drawing at Bournemouth?
Bournemouth fans very unhappy with the form of their team even though Saturday's defeat was their first under interim coach Woodgate. They are really struggling upfront and they feel little has changed so far under Woodgate. It is rumoured Thierry Henry will take over as manager but possibly not before our game. His managerial track record is not great. I might be the only City fan watching the game as an away fan on the south coast. We have been our daughter's support bubble in Poole since the birth of our first grandchild 6 weeks ago. I'm returning home on Thursday so my brother in law has invited me to watch the game from the away end of his lounge. As he's an ex-Marine I will avoid chants like "You're gonna get your bleeping head kicked in".
Quote from Neil Harris after our 1-1 draw with them at home earlier in the season............ "I think any team which finishes above Bournemouth will be promoted. They are a good side, but we will get better." Well there are five above them at the moment - can we make that six on Wednesday? It would only need a single goal win because we'd be equal on points with the same goal difference, but (believe it or not ) we've scored more goals than them. Even so, I can't see all six of us going up.........
I'd better add a caveat to that - we'd be 6th unless Warnock can beat the Wurzels 10-0 to go above us on goal difference.....
FFS sparks, don't keep winding the old boy up will ya! (no offence). but speaking of old boys, where's Masky again of late, not out tupping again surely?hahaha
It used to be better when there were three CCFC's, Chester being the other. What was the chap called we used to have on 606 from there? And our own Roy blue prophet RIP pal never forgotten
I think someone actually agreed with something Maskey commented on by saying "spot on Maskey". He's had his magnifying glass on his todger ever since (No offence Maskey)
Robbie - it was Walshie. Can't remember if that was his full handle but we knew him as that on here. Blue Prophet was (is) a legend.
Can't remember his name but I recall him still wanting to shoot the Welsh from Chester City walls. He got in a right state when he found out half the Chester stadium was in Wales. Priceless!
My God clingo - talking of the Prophet, will you just look at this from 10 years ago.................. Some good old posters on there besides you and me. https://www.not606.com/threads/sunday-morning-thoughts.104038/#post-1752449
