.... this draw decides the path for the rest of the tournament. Who we wanting to be drawn against?

 

Porto .

 

I'd rather not have an English team, because we play them all the time, but I'm not overly bothered. Though having said that, the less we have to travel abroad - under the current circumstances - the better.
In purely footballing terms I don't think it matters much. We'll have to up our game if we want to progress, and if we do we're a match for anyone. If we don't we're easy meat for anyone.

 

Dortmund. Hopefully

probably the weakest team of the eight.

 

Porto, Dortmund, and us are the weakest 3 so the rest will be hoping two out of the 3 are not drawn together.

 

Real Madrid are beatable, but maybe not in our current state.
Porto are obviously the weakest.
Dortmund are mixed, Haaland would wipe the floor with our defence, but also concede a lot and having a poor season.

Avoid English also

well since they got what they wanted i'm sure that won't be bothered about such trivial matters . .

 

We are not the weakest of the eight. Let's not be so blooming negative.

On our day we have 9 of our first 11 and in the end need to get out of this cycle of negativity.

Sure we are weakened but we can still take on anyone in a straight out 2 legged scrap. Winning who know but nobody is going to slaughter us unless the players give up after conceding a goal.

I'd take port all thing being equal.but have zero issue with an English side next.

 

Obviously we're not the weakest per se, but our current form is so poor that anyone else would fancy their chances.

Bobby too. As much as many of us think we're better with Jota in the side, Klopp will pick Firmino.

Unless he's back of course but I've not heard anything.

 

Assuming Bobby is back after internationals but as you say atm Jota would be ahead of Bobby in most anyway so only missing 2 starters albeit in key area.

 

henderson might even be back after international break. He could be fit for the first QF leg.

 

firmino is not going on internationals so is meant to be well back before the end of the break.

Its not disasterous as someone would like i suppose. Its more about confidence and belief for me form the players.

the leicester game shows that. If we had drawn that game 1-1 peoepl wuldn't necessarallyy be do negative. We dropped the heads.

Jota coming in and extra effort up front and in midfield should be pushing our confidence up here. that team should be able to do what its done for 3 years albeit with a weak CB pairing. They should still worry most sides.

We lost to chelsea 1-0, they should have score more but we never ever look like scoring but with that line up above we can at least threaten them a bit more.

If we protect that back line and minimise exposure over 120 mins we can fight for pens FFS

I would still say having seen dortmund this season and knowing porto and even real that we are not the weakest in this competition.

Bayern and lewandoski, tough ask, city, always tough but we matched them in our worse set up for 60mins.

After that Cheslea, PSG and real would be ok draws. We would have experience playing them all and they all have different strengths and weaknesses

Dortmund and porto are clearly a level below the rest. Dortmund lack that steel, soo many yuong players with loads of talent but they seem to just lack something (the german arsenal)

I'd be quite happy to avoid city and bayern thats all. Save them for the other SF when vvd plays as a surprise in the final and they panic we will be quids in.
