Watched it more for an insight into Peterborough ready for Tuesday. They look slow at the back to me - we'll need to get at them with pace. They didn't look comfortable at all against the pace of Derby's two young substitutes, Sibley and Stretton who at least ran at them. Beevers and Co like the ball in front of them and don't like being turned. They are big guys and maybe a game for Harris, and dare I say it Watkins?
Reading MMs recent comments on interest in Harris it is possible he could go on loan. Bacuna playing in the role Harris could excel in again failed to convince (even though he scored but he nearly missed it from 3 yards). 3 games in 8 days may force MM though to shake things up. Certainly Collins doesn’t look like he can be adequate cover for Moore.
Agreed on Collins. Good work rate, mobility and effort. But not very quick and ineffective in the air. Could be good alongside Moore if he can work out where Moore is going to nod the ball onto. No one has worked that out yet despite Moore winning more in the air than he loses. Certainly not a Moore replacement.
Best of luck Cardiff hopefully not Tuesday Agree about Rooney hes out of his depth and im sure it peeves people off bbc always calling it Rooneys Derby. Hows one of old players getting on Tomlin always a Crowd fav here
I think goals will come for Collins. He has the physicality that Glatzel didnt. Still think with the right service Glatzel would have got goals. Our set up was never going to suit him.
Thanks for your good wishes. Unfortunately, we haven't seen much of Tomlin for quite some time now. That said, when we did see him he was a class apart.
