We'll finish 22nd A better season than our last in the Championship, and steadier form, but ultimately succumbing to relegation by a point or two. Probably a few decent wins against good sides, along with thumpings by other crap sides, as is our wont.
i was torn between getting a bye for the whole season and being promoted before a ball was kicked and auto promo but instead became voter no 2 for champions. full of no.2
i too said champions before a ball was kicked and if we play like that every game we will romp it. but surely its beyond everyones wildest dreams to play like that for even a fraction of the season. or is it?
I had you down for top 5 but after the Preston game I'd not be surprised top 2 Good luck for the season, I know you've suffered at the hands of ****ty owners
Consolidation.. anything above midtable will be a bonus .. there'll be good days like yesterday but there'll also be a few dark ones I suspect.
I had in my mind somewhere like 15th,and despite yesterday’s frolic at Deepdale,I’ll stick to that with maybe a position or two higher if we consistently perform. But I suspect teams will press us with more gusto once teams get more match fit and how we adapt to that, and react to the days when things go against us,will more than likely decide our fate. Still confident we’ll comfortably stay up,mind.
I still think we need to strengthen to back my prediction, but I've gone with 7th to 12th and finishing 11th/12th would be a very good season in my book. The confidence of going up as champions will of course only take us so far, but the experience of league one has allowed some of the players to mentally re-set and moreover gel as a team. We've a number of players now who are up for the fight when the going gets tough. I'll also put my hand up and say that I thought Grant's days were numbered once we went into free fall last time in the championship and I wouldn't have been sorry to see him go. I was wrong and credit to him. Perhaps I'm 'suffering' from good old fan optimism but I genuinely feel confident that we'll flourish this season.
Will teams park the bus at ours, and play us on the break? We might have one of those seasons were we gather more points on the road than at the MKMKCOM.
Ditto, ditto. Play offs for me. I see real hunger and desire in the group, and as long as we don’t suffer any big injuries to key players I can seriously see us upsetting a few teams and pundits.
