How many QPR players should be in the Championship team of the season? Kenny & Hill (strange that they are the only 2 real contenders from our defence when we have the best defence statistically). Faurlin Derry Taarabt
I doubt that Hill or Faurlin will get in. I'm not saying they shouldn't, just that I doubt that they will.
I'd like to see Jamie Mackie considered. Haven't seen many this year with a greater work rate. Always thought this compensated us when Adel goes missing.
I agree BrixtonR - I think Mackie set us off on this great season not only with the goals but also his work rate and ability to play wherever asked Kenny & Taarabt to me are no brainers, Faurlin is closely guarded secret though so not sure he will get recognition.
I think Derry and Taarabt will make it in. Whilst Kenny should, I think the Championship is blessed with good 'keepers and as such they will pick one from another team for sake of 'balance'. I was very impressed by Westwood both times, but it will most probably go to Camp, who to be fair, does put in some blistering performances!
The make up of a Championship team of the season depends on who's picking it. The comments above imply an 'official' selection of some kind but doesn't say who. If it isn't that and just Ciarrai setting us Rs folks an assignment, then we'd surely have to say: Kenny, Walker, ****tu, Hall, Hill, Derry, Faurlin, Mackie, Taarabt, Routeledge, and maybe... Holt, Graham or Bothroyd up front??
I can't believe it!! The machine's edited my comment above and asterisked big Dan's surname?? Get real people - this is a sports forum and big Dan's a star where we come from! I noted someone had done the same sort of thing in blotting out the nether bit when referring to Scunthorpe in another thread the other day. Just thought they were being ironic. Silly me! If it happens again when I post this we might need to launch a protest! Danny and Scunthorpe might have a case for discrimination... After these two comments, I wonder if the site has me down as a serial swearist?!
OMG! It did it again! The cynic in me is willing to bet that we can write Arsenal and Arsene though. If so, what's the difference?
Brixton's rant is the funniest thing I've read this morning! As with everything new...it takes a bit of time to find your way round! Enjoy uncensored forums from now on, Brixton!!
Can't see Derry getting in..... He's like our Didier Deschamps.....The "water carrier" and they don't get the recognition they deserve... Hope he does though!
Actually, that's my issue with this site - Those people who want to opt for no swearing, actually can't get it. For all it's faults, that was something I appreciated about 606. The 'Tags' feature, and the 'Recommend with comment' feature, both of which are pushed pretty heavily on the General section of this board, allow people to write whatever they like. But there's no way to censor them once sent, and they show on your profile and against posts, neither of which you can hide or delete. Some of the 'members' on the board think it's big and clever to tag and comment using pretty abusive and obscene language towards posters, and so far I've had no response to my email asking for the settings to be updated. I really don't want to be on a board where such things can be thrown at someone and there's no way of moderating it and/or removing it. Anybody actually know who the moderators and / or Admins are on this board? I'd like to ask them direct. Otherwise I really can't see me hanging around too much....
Yep....you may have a point there, WLW.... Not something I've noticed, as I have the swearing on....No point seeing S****horpe unless you really have to! But, I would say that you should contact the Mods/Admins and chat to them about it.
Ohhh...kay! Don't do much swearing in writing (though am regularly accused of foul punctuation when speaking!). Apologies for the unintended distraction from this particular dinosaur... and ta for the advice. Swearing 'on' it is then.
Right at the bottom, there is a "Contact Us"....try going through there.... As there is a bit for site feedback.... They may well be able to help from there.....it's a starting point, at least!
