    Mate, it's an insane amount of money for Ashley to wave away. I can see his reasoning for pursuing it and hiring the best in the business, but his need for a deal and De Marco's expertise still doesn't turn lead into gold does it.

    Hopefully it happens. The league needs more competition, it's only been improved with Everton and Villa spending more.

    The bottom line remains the same though. It’s the piracy issue that is behind the PL’s view on Saudi ownership of a 1/20th stake in the PL. There’s no way they could ever condone that, the rest of the drawn out debacle is all window dressing.

    Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund will more than double in size to exceed 4 trillion riyals ($1.1 trillion) in assets under management by 2025, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said. The fund's assets reached 1.5 trillion riyals by the end of 2020, he said in remarks broadcast on Saudi state television on Sunday.
