Just taken from the BBC website. Is he a mole for Charlie's agent or something. (Waiting for the Charlie's angel's jokes!) Phil McNumpty!!!! 10:52 Given Charlie Austin's attitude he will fit in anywhere. He is an archetypal hard-working striker, ready to go looking for work for the team, strong in the air and with proven ability in front of goal with 18 goals - five headers - in the league last season. Here is a player who proved himself in a relegated side at QPR last season, performing well enough to win an England call-up. He deserves a bigger stage than the Championship.
If as it seems CA is staying. Do we think he will sign a new contract ? Or will it be run down til the end of the contract. Surely the club must make a massive effort to tie him down to a new contract
I think they'll try their best to persuade him to sign up - and I think he might do. I still can't believe that no-one's met the valuation for him yet...
Personally, think he's a bargain at £15m - proven at PL level in a struggling team (we were truly ****e last year), instead of some of these foreigners the other clubs keep signing who will most probably be useless, but if no-one signs him, all the better for us
140 mins to determine quite a lot about the rest of our season. If he stays because he has chosen to stay, that would be amazing and create a complete QPR legend.
Charlie also just retweeted the below...... @SamWallaceIndy: Charlie Austin to stay at #QPR this window. #CPFC made final offer this week for the striker in last year of contract http://t.co/FeGro0Dfj2
