If only Welbeck had put a bit more oomph into that attempt...

I have worked out our cunning plan. We let Chelsea run around with the ball for 75 mins to get them tired and then throw Pereyra on to score 3 for a amazing comeback.

Pereyra on for Sarr - am not sure that's a particularly good move. We're never going to win this - should be giving more minutes to Pedro, or even Gray to build some confidence in them.

I was thinking that, he seems to have more energy than TD since the resumption.

I'd put Masina up front - at least he's had two shots at goal.

For 80 minutes the team looked as dispirited as I felt. The last 10 minutes we seemed to come to life.
I wonder what Pearson can do, he looked a bit hacked off.
    Sleep well all.

Fear not fellow Hornets - Villa should lose to Liverpuddle tomorrow, bringing us all square. We should beat Norwich on Tuesday while Villa lose again to Manure on Thursday & Bournemouth lose to the Spuds then too. By Friday we'll be four points clear and full of confidence.

That's the plan and I'm sticking to it.

Well got to get 5- 7 points reallly.

I remember under Walter we won 2 key games at home v Sunderland and Swansea 1-0 close to the end of the sessions..

We just don't look like scoring but Welbeck did ok coming on.

Trouble is the players will feel under pressue now ?

Don't need silly tackles or mistakes from our experienced players either !

Watford manager Nigel Pearson told Sky Sports: "I thought we played with discipline. I just said to the players, sometimes it's hard when you have got players who would normally contribute in a different way, that are having to work hard for the team to make it difficult for opponents. Of course, we would like to spend more time on the ball but we played against a good side, who we knew would respond after their last game.

"To concede in the first half was painful because we showed the qualities that were missing last week. It is important for us to now to recognise what is the best chance we have of winning games, and it's the work ethic we showed tonight. We are having to play our way back into nick.

"Time is not on our side but we have to be brave enough and want the ball. It wasn't our night and we conceded at times when it takes courage to come back into the game. The second half performance was one we can build on."

I know he has to be positive and keep thinking we will be ok but Capoue hardly showed discipline.

I mean had we kept it 1-0 for an hour or so who knows ?

Could have put pushed on more..

We looked better with Wellbeck and Masina on and Capue and Deeney off

Maybe its time to play three at the back with wingbacks
Two up front to give support to each other
