Yep, it's definitely a gamble. Emery's clearly hoping to give him a game to end his career on a high with, but yes it could come back to haunt them both.

When I said, our Manager needed to go, people said I was being silly.... I hope you are all in agreement now? He is so poor it is unbelievable, Sarri villified all season, yet he won the Europa and finished top4...

 

Chelsea are an average side + Hazard (who has been the difference tonight). We are way worse than average as anyone who's watched us this season will attest. We're a poor side with a few good players but we are nowhere near challenging for top honors.

 

I'm not taking up for Emery but Sarri didn't have this much s--t to work with.

 

Ozil needs to be run out of town. How can look at himself in the mirror?

Our club is drifting, and with teams like Newcastle being bought by Quatar, there is only one direction to go - downward.

I know I sound pessimistic but I just don’t see us having a direction. We definitely won’t spend which is what is required to push on.

We played poor today, not much to say. Feel sorry for the fans in Baku the most.

 

Yeah I have to agree, without investment this team is lost. With up and coming sides like Wolves, Everton and others, we might very well be pushed down the league in years to come. Scary thought. Had a chance to really build for the future tonight but we blew it big time.
