15kg less is supposed to be my ideal weight, but probs doesn't take into account muscle mass. So I'll probs aim for 10kg.

Watched a bit of some TV show and did a few follow up easy miles after yesterday’s climbing ride.

desperate to get out, but indoor riding is the best I have at mo.

    Shin splints tonight, oh joy.

5k of hobbling along a pitch black Country Road.

Plus, I nearly sharted so that was fun.

Do you always run on Tarmac ?

Would grass or footpaths be less of a strain on your shins and knees ?

Definitely can’t be arsed doing cardio when the weather is this ****. Just getting a reasonable step count in will do. Did a decent weights sesh at lunchtime.

The weather doesn't really bother me.
Obvs prefer it when it's warm and dry, but that accounts for about 3.6 days of the year, so you might as well just face it up and get stuck in.

Briefly I suppose, yeah it would.

No, I usually run on the beach, or a combo of beach or path.

Stay away in the week a night here and there and it's rural, just pitch black country roads. When it's brighter in the evening I can go on the track and do a bit of cross county. There's a really nice one along Severn Estuary.

****ing hate it in road as it goes.

Yeah that tarmac pounding plays havoc with your knees.

An old boss of mine used to run 7 miles to work every day through South London and totally ****ed his knees.

Poor ****er was using two sticks when he was in his 50's :(

Still stuck indoors on Turbo. With the weather here I’m sort of glad. But seeing other out on bikes/going past on bikes makes me jealous.

Beach today, it didn't make a great deal of difference shin wise. I either stop doing it for a bit or find a way of warming them up thoroughly pre start.

Will go back to my older trainers for a bit and use compression tights.
It's a nightmare, everything else is fine bar the fact the middle of my shin feels like a nail is being hammered into it.

No sign of a shart though.

    I'm on the bike now.

Nothing more than a leisurely trundle down the prom today though.
