The film thread reminiscences reminded me, and encouraged me to create another 'oldie' type thread, as the title says . . . .

    Please Sir
    My Wife Next Door
    Love thy Neighbour
    Till Death Us Do Part
    To The Manor Born
    The Good Life
    Nearest & Dearest
    Upstairs Downstairs
The Jetsons (futuristic, but I can see it happening, though not in my lifetime)
    Adam, Atom Ant
    Shoot
    U.F.O.
    Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons
When the Boat (bert) Comes In
    The Saint
    The Persuaders

Many more that didn't immediately spring to my mind, but I used to enjoy watching all of those above :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Remind us about some more . . . .

Not particularly my favourites, but series I remember as a young un because my Dad watched them. We only had 1 TV back then, and only 3 channels to choose from. Slim pickings.
    Little House on the pararie
    High chaparral
    Bonanza
    The Waltons
    The water margin
    Kung Fu

    Probably missed a few....

Back in the mid 60's I was Stationed in Edinburgh.

On a Wednesday(?) Night, it was a quick meal in The Mess then off down town to The Greyfriars Bobby pub to watch the original Likely Lads.

    Magic.

Greyfriars Bobby was a canny film (in a 'no it wasn't' sort of way), too :emoticon-0148-yes:

Treasure Island sticks in the memory, great series.

I hated anything like Blue Peter.

"Ask Mummy for some cashew nuts, silver polish and a few sheets of writing paper."

F**k off, we don't even have toilet paper.
