Adrian Chiles gets about 1 million pound pay off for loss of face. I would only pay 25p for losing that face.

 

He has a face that makes it look like he has been chasing parked cars.

 

So why was he axed? More to the point why was he hired in the first place?!

 

Both of those questions have the same answer: he's a ****ing **** presenter.

 

I don't understand....I have never heard anyone have a good word to say about Adrian chiles, i find him possibly the most irritating man on TV, how is it possible that he got offered a 6 million pound contract in the first place. It's not as if he has any clue about football or is entertaining in anyway.

 

Don't know about loss of face? I know he suffered a loss of talent years ago?

 

I heard someone with a good word for him but it would only come up with asterisks on here!

 

One of the problem with Chiles was that to him everything was humorous...impossible to get a serious discussion going as he was too busy showing off.

 

He has the perfect face for radio.

Actually, to be fair to him I have heard him on 5 Live a few times where he presents a daytime news programme, and he isn't half so irritating as he is on TV. Whether it's because you can't see him, or because it's not about sport, or a combination of the two, I don't know, but he certainly is more easy to tolerate.

Yes, I've heard him in years past and he was reasonably OK. I'm not sure what various decision makers saw in him that was worth the meteoric rise or the transfer to TV. Though, in a world where And & Dec are successful, nothing is out of the question [yes, I know some people like them. I just can't believe so many people do]. Is Chiles worth a £1M pay off..? Obviously, if that's the rate. Should never have got to that point though. Perhaps there has been a dearth of presenting talent..? Maybe it's a case of regional [accent] presenters going one step too far..?

 

am I the only one who doesn't totally hate Chiles? I can think of at least 3 presenters I dislike more.

 

I read his book about ordinary football supporters - "We Don't Know What We're Doing" - and thought it was a good read. Don't mind the bloke. I do find his fellow baggies fan Frank Skinner extremely irritating though.

If I had another pundit I disliked, I'd use his dead body to smash Chiles to death.

 

If you read up the thread you could already tell that one or two others don't HATE him. We're just not that keen.

Besides, this is somewhat of a football supporters thing, isn't it..? Everyday people have an infinite number of shades between black and white. Whereas football supporters either love or hate things. I don't know why this happens. It isn't always the case, but it occurs so often on football forums that there appears to be a tendency. If it isn't the case at all, then it is sheer laziness on the part of the poster to express what they really mean or feel. In which case, why bother to post..?

No feelings either way regarding Adrian Chiles.
