    1.50 Cheltenham – Legends Ryde (e/w) – 9/1 Bet365, 8/1 Paddy Power, Bet Victor, otherwise generally 7/1.
She’s been quite highly tried this season running behind the likes of Fantastic Lady and Pic D’orhy, who would be rated considerably higher, and she ran well for a long way behind the latter when 3rd. She also seems best going either left handed or around a figure of 8 track, like Fontwell where she has twice been victorious, so Cheltenham should suit with the added plus of the ground likely to suit, as she is certainly at her best on a decent surface. She has won 3 times in handicap company over fences and is only 4lbs higher than when winning by 8 lengths on her last run in a handicap

1.15 Cheltenham – Mister Coffey – generally Even Money.

A bit of a shortie, but he really should be winning this with the minimum of fuss. Still lightly raced he’s only run over his optimum conditions a couple of times in his career, that being over a trip and on a left handed track. Understandable that he ran over shorter trip early in his career as an education and the fact he used to be a bit keen, but he’s settled with age. His run when runner up at Cheltenham is a piece of form that stands miles clear of any of his rivals, and considering he was badly hampered early on in that race. He didn’t take to the Grand National fences, but returning from a break, in quite possibly the easiest task he’s faced over fences, it’ll be disappointing if he doesn’t win.

    3.00 Cheltenham – Rouge Vif (e/w) – generally 28/1

Top 4 Places with Skybet, Paddy Power, William Hill, Corals, Unitbet, Betfred.

This is a fair race with a number of the runners in form or having shown promise and the potential of improvement, but off a rating of 135 Rouge Vif has to be given another chance here, having perhaps needed his return run at Huntingdon where he ran well until tiring from 3 out. He’s not as good over hurdles as fences, but just two years ago he was a 164 rated chaser and running in Grade 1 races. He’s switched back to the Harry Whittingdon yard and at a big price is given another chase to prove he retains enough ability to be competitive off such a reduced mark.

    3.35 Cheltenham – Captain Morgs (e/w) – 5/1 Bet365, Paddy Power, Betfair, generally 9/2

Stablemate Dusart has to be respected as he’s a classy type, but he’s likely to improve for this which may well be a pipe opener for a return to fences. Captain Morgs has promised to land a nice handicap and ran really well on his return when running up to another stablemate, Call Me Lord at Kempton, where he looked like he needed to return to a left handed track and that a longer trip would suit, both of which he gets here. His best form last year was when encountering good ground, so he has everything in his favour today.

    Already Advised.

Be lucky

    1.57 Hereford – Go Dante – 9/4 Bet365, generally 2/1
Looks to be potentially thrown in here off a mark of 128 for his reappearance, having run his final race last season in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle at Newbury behind Stage Star. He’d previously been beaten at a short price by a progressive Nicky Henderson mare to whom he was giving a stone, she recently won a handicap off 118 by a distance. Go Dante had looked impressive when winning on his hurdles debut at Bangor, so connections were right to thing they had a good one. He wasn’t seen again after the Challow in December, as he reportedly just wasn’t right, so given a break he returns here still very much unexposed and open to a good deal of improvement.

    2.19 Newcastle – Nazymbek (e/w) – generally 7/2
A nice colt by Kingman and has been working very well. Ideally in time he’ll want further but this mile is about right for his debut. He takes on a very short priced Fav here but is expected to serve it up to the Crisford horse. We’ll play safe and go each way at around 7/2 as he’s sure to improve for the experience, but we certainly want to be with him as in the long term he’ll be better than these.

    5.50 Wolverhampton – Manaafith – generally 7/4
She just isn’t the same filly on turf so happy to forgive her run at Newmarket over 6f, whilst that was also a higher class race. Back on the all-weather where she has a record of 3 wins from 3 races and back up to 7f she has a lot in her favour. She’s a classy filly and is taken to give weight away to inferior rivals. Her work of late has been good and she goes to post expected to be hard to beat.

    12:12 Lingfield, Vasilissa -1pt win 9/2 generally
Well beat on debut on testing ground, but she didn't run too badly in what's turning out to be quite a hot novice for both sexes. She should come on for that initial run and racing with what will hopefully be much more suitable conditions, this half-sister of listed placed 'Heredia' who's owned/trained by the same connections and a winner at two, looks set to go well from her inside draw in what looks a much easier task compared to last time.

    2:50 Lingfield, Faithless Insomnia - 1pt win 9/2 generally
Saddle slipped when we had him last week which was the reason he never got out of last place. Tomorrow's race looks much less competitive and over the same trip and with a better jockey, he deserves another chance

    6:45 Wolverhampton, Catesby - 40/1 generally 1pt e/w (4 places)
Ran quite well on his return from just over a two-month break, in a race that was run at a very good tempo at Southwell. Always on the front end from his inside draw, he was still in there pitching inside the final furlong before being passed by four rivals, three of which have since won. He's drawn wide tomorrow in what's admittedly quite a competitive heat, but that could assure that he's held up this time as opposed to chasing a strong pace like last time, and if he's trained on since that last run in October, then I think he should be able to run into a place at least
