The bloke who got on the course as the Derby was just starting has been remanded in custody until July 6. The racecourse are seeking to gain all the expanses for the extra policing/ stewarding from Animal Rising. Maybe protesters might start to think twice.
815. Gilbert. below last winning mark Havlin on board Owners had a good bet ew @40/1. sorry it’s late. Just got it
yup. Won at 40/1 A ringer or fixed…you don’t get 40/1 at 1 min notice unless something dodgy is going on

Many years ago I got a horse for the first race, Saturday, at Beverley. On Friday night. Opened on course at 15/2, won at 5/2. Class 6 maiden or some such normally left best well alone. Unless someone rings you the night before!! It was the owner who rang me, the same owner who about a week before had made loud noises about getting rid of all his horses unless he had a winner. Phew then, relief all round.

Decent day yesterday…we go again 3:10 pm Newbury - Son 5/4 (4 Points) 6:10 pm Ripon - Rogue Sea 11/8 (1 Point 15.35 Newton Abbot , Good Impression 1 point e/w @ 8/1 @ Skybet, Unibet ,Coral 1/5 @ 1234 places 4.20 Newbury – Eximous – 2 Points Win, generally 2/1 Makes her handicap debut here off a mark that connections feel she’s very much capable of winning off. A nice run on debut, she improved a good deal for that to win impressively at Salisbury where she showed the benefit of that initial run and the extended trip. Outclassed in the Rockfel Stakes, it’s felt she didn’t run to form at Newmarket. She’s wintered well, will relish the quick ground conditions and goes to post well fancied. 16.35 Nottingham , Single 1 point e/w @ 6/1 Skybet, Unibet ,888Sport 1/5 @ 123 places 7.50 Kempton – Prepense – 2 Points Win, generally 9/4 Has always been held in high regard and bumped into one when making an extremely promising debut at Newmarket behind Commissioning, who went on to win the Rockfel Stakes and Fillies Mile. Prepense herself, seemingly disappointed when 2nd at Chester next time, but the winner was only just beaten in the Fred Darling on her reappearance, before running in the 1000 Guineas. She made up for that defeat by winning well on her reappearance back at Newmarket and looks to have been handed a favourable handicap mark of 85. A tricky draw in stall 11, but she’s a classy filly and she should be more than capable of taking a higher rank than this class 4 handicap. 8.25 Kempton – Celtic Art – ½ Point Each Way, generally 25/1 & Top 4 Places. Comes into this off the back of a very disappointing run over hurdles at Sandown, where he didn’t jump with any fluency, having been held up off the pace. Returning to the all-weather off an attractive enough mark, he looks to have been completely overlooked by the market, against some horses with perhaps more attractive profiles. His record on the all-weather is very good, with 2 wins from 6 races and he’s bever finished outside of the top 3, albeit in some relatively small fields. He races off a mark of 86 here, and has previously won off 88 and gone close off a mark of 90. Based on that form, he holds a decent chance here and is very much overpriced.

2:05 pm Beverley - Midnight Affair 6/4 (4 Points) 2:15 pm Bangor - Hannahs Walk 100/1 Each Way (1 Point 14.45 Catterick, Lord Torranaga 1 point e/w @ 6/1 Paddy Power, Unibet, Betfred 1/5 @ 123 places 16.25 Beverley, Broctune Red 1 point e/w @ 5/1 @ Paddy Power, Coral, Betfred 1/5 @ 123 places 1.15 Haydock – Regional – 1 Point Win, generally 4/1 A sprinter very much on the up and with the potential for more improvement to come, whereas the majority of this rivals have hit their ceiling point, bar Prince of Pillo, but 3yos don’t have a great record on this. Regional was really impressive when winning a handicap at York off a mark of 100 on his reappearance, where he travelled strongly and won with a little up his sleeve. Whilst this is a step up in class, he hasn’t anything to find on rating with his rivals, he’s on the top of his game at present and can stake this step up class in his stride. Already Advised. 1.50 Haydock – My Wagyu – 2 Points Each Way 11/2 Bet365, Betfred, Boylesports, All Top 4 Places. Generally 11/2 or 5/1, but place offers vary. Ran really well at Epsom last time when up with the pace and only getting collared close home by two that raced from off the pace. He’s nicely handicapped off 96 having won off a mark of 100 around this time last year. He does very well when backing up quickly as he does here and seems at his best in the summer months when encountering a good, quick surface. The draw bias certainly looked to favour those drawn high here recently, so he’s well positioned in stall 11 and looks to have an outstanding chance to add to his tally of 15 wins on the turf.
