He's as desperate for a job as they're desperate to squeeze every last penny out of the club. If he walks some other desperado will jump at the chance to be our manager. Yes the calibre will be lower but that won't bother them. The new manager will just be treading water till he goes and the next one arrives
He can’t even do that to the ****ing manager he employed. We’ll agree on something- he is a lying ****.
Why would he leave he's managing a club in the 2nd tier English football we are not a League 2 club though if these ****s stay it might happen sooner rather than later. They will be gone next summer I just hope we are still in the Championship though I think we will be Adkins is a decent manager.
Currently money is coming through parachute payments. Last payment in in January. If they stay beyond that they have one intention and one only to destroy the football club.
Fair enough. I thought the drop from last season to this was likely to be the biggest, as the wage bill seems prepared now for no parachutes.
Norwood on his move to Sheff Utd. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/oliver-norwood-rubs-salt-hull-1893673 “Hull did try to sign me,” said Norwood. “They tried quite hard but this is football, it is business. They couldn’t get the deal done and Sheffield United did. To be honest, I would much rather have come to Sheffield United than go there. “It is nice to be wanted. There were a few clubs linked and certain things went on. But until it is signed, you never know with football. Things can change from one day to the next. “I couldn’t be any happier to be back up north and at a club going places. I just want to get going.” It's getting interpreted as he didn't want to come to our club and that it's Sheff U who are going places compared to us. That might be what he meant. But it also might be that he preferred Sheffield over Hull as a location as he comes from Burnley. Live a bit NW of Sheffield and it's a fair bit closer to Burnley. And that he was merely commenting separately, without comparison to us, that Sheff U is a club going places. Plus it was claimed that he wanted to work with Nige again. Having said all that, it's easy to understand why he would see them as a more attractive option than us these days.
I don't think they are banking on a move for any of the players we have sold. Not directly, but added to the club sale price.
They're also his current employer. Even if we were Real Madrid and he went to Sheffield, he'd say he's happy to be there.
