This will probably be a short-lived thread but I'm going to do it anyway.

3-1 down from the 1st leg there's no other way to say it, United were abysmal and with Rashford out and United being limited up front it seems the tie is already over barring a miracle. Lets hope we start with a 4-3-3 this time.

    Please please... no Phil Jones.

This looks like the squad from reports...

De Gea, Romero, Grant; Wan-Bissaka, Dalot, Bailly, Lindelof, Maguire, Jones, Shaw, Williams; Fred, Gomes, Pereira, Matic, Lingard, Mata, James; Chong, Martial, Greenwood.

Bit of a lost cause this.

The only thing possibky in our favour is if City's mega fans don't show again and their crowd is infiltrated by reds, which it will be given all opportunities. Bit of a backs to the wall dogs of war performance of old and we've half a chance.

Rarely see that from this current squad though so I won't be holding my breath.

    Matic red card.

Maybe this is benefit of hindsight here but if Ole was going to go for it anyway and bring on Mata, why not do that for Matic earlier when he was on a yellow.

Mata just walked away to let Fred take a free kick at goal. WTF?

Really missed a decent CF tonight. We have to get someone in.

All over, United win 1-0 but lose 3-2 on aggregate.

Damage done in first 45 minutes of the tie. In the other 3 halves we did well, just not enough.

Eh, you mean the (self proclaimed) best fans in the world? Never!

They're a bunch of ****s, them and Bolton. Always at it.

Good to see Ole giving Lingard the hairdryer treatment from the touchline. reports I've read suggest that he told Lingard he would hook him off if he gave away the ball one more time.

With Bruno in town, Lingard is done being a starter.

Lingard thought he’d made it and could just strut around playing little flicks and lay offs. The problem is his touch and passing are ****e. He’s only effective as a decoy, a headless chicken taking opposition players with him. It’s ridiculous that he’s had a career as a United and England player.
