His wife Carrie said they believed he had last been seen in Manchester city centre at 06:00 BST. Carlisle, 37, who has previously spoken of his mental health issues, spent six weeks in a psychiatric unit after he was hit by a lorry in 2014. Lancashire Police said they were "extremely concerned" about him. Let's hope he turns up safe and well.
Stay well and sane, Clarke. Hope you are safge, and that you are able to get the help you need very soon, wherever you are.
Clarke and his wife were on the Adrian Chiles programme on R5 this morning. Very moving, here's an excerpt.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05kt3gq
He is a very lucky man to have her based on that interview. How many others would spare themselves the grief by walking away.
Here's the full interview, starting at about 07.30............ http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b099vzb5
Without wishing to sound insensitive I'm going to be insensitive and say he doesn't deserve to be a part of it. By all means invite him down if it helps his recovery but he was an ok player for us who played around 100 games and totally ****ed us over to get a transfer back up north to be near his kids nine months before joining Watford.
