Clifton Suspension Bridge to be lit up BLUE

Bristol's iconic landmark will be lit up in blue this Spring, thanks to a fundraising effort by Bristolians. Those who contributed were asked which colour they'd like to see the Bridge illuminated in and the winner was BLUE! Red came second.

It's a huge pity that there won't be any fans in Ashton Gate to look up to see it, but the glorious spectacle should be easily visible across South Bristol for weeks on end!

If they carry on the way they're going, they will be more concerned about looking DOWN the league table to see how close they are to the bottom, than looking UP towards Bristol's tribute to The Gas, shining out across the City!!

 

I think this is the right decision as I feel it would look better with blue lights in the dark. It would stand out more.
