You paint a grim picture, but I can't disagree with any of it. With big money owners come big risks, and if they walk we can't cover those risks, and will be guaranteed to tumble down the table, or worse still, tables.
We had the richest owner in the world We ha Ike most,I'm so very dissullsioned with the way the club has been over the past God many knows years. We never seem to progress. The cynic in me thinks the owners would sell it off as quick as they could as they don't show an inkling of ambition and haven't for years. To expect supporters to cough up hard earned to watch the dross that were churning out and just keep to be hugely disappointed game after game isn't sustainable. Look at Everton fans, full of passion and let the hierarchy know that they've had a gut full. That's what is needed here imo. We've been ugly for years and I'd wager most would welcome them to do one and get in somebody with ambition and passion. I'm sick to back teeth of this QPR" Groundhog day"
What would you define as ‘ambition’ and how would the owners or new owners, demonstrate to you that they have ‘ambition’?
Former Queens Park Rangers performance analyst Bartosz Andryszak has announced that he has joined the coaching staff of West Ham United after more than a decade at Loftus Road Who could blame him, imagine analysing our performances every week!!!
Come on Bob, with all your insider knowledge of the game, what the **** does a performance analyst do that we don't every Sunday on this forum? Club could do his job for for free by logging into the site or reading Clives reports
When I first started out in football, there was none of this analysts and performance stats going on, even at academies. The game has gone crazy due to the huge sums of money involved
To be honest though and serious, I could get more wins with this team than what Critchley has. So could many on here aswell. Theres nothing about the bloke...at all
Can’t be real. There’s not several um’s or err’s in the statement. Nor that look when he stares vacantly upwards or away thinking what to say.
Ambition to me is to see a Club that progresses, not expecting to win trophy etc but to see progress on the pitch ie a fair standard of Football, players making it from the Academy to the 1st team would be progress and should be an Ambition as that doesn't seem to happen. Ambition from potential new owners would for me be to see them strive to the very best to their potential. Do you think that the current Owners/Hierarchy have ambition, and Goals in mind or just Happy to have a minimum expenditure and Mid table mediocrity year in year out?
I think it would be very easy for the owners to declare an ‘ambition’ exactly the same as the one you have written, it’s all very motherhood and apple pie. And that’s really one of the things Ferdinand and Hoos have said the business model is about - but as we all know because of the way football academies are organised in this country the chances of a club like QPR finding a jewel and then hanging on to them long enough to either get them in the first team or sell them for a decent profit are about zero. Still, the majority of £30m cost of the new training centre, which brings all parts of the system together on one site, is being covered by the owners. Not ‘ambitious’ enough? The owners ****ed up, they trusted ‘football men’ like Hughes and Redcrapp and chucked a quarter of a billion pounds away in the process, and landed the club in deep financial ****. Now they are trusting other types of ‘football people’ like Ferdinand and Ramsey and getting screwed again in a different way. And they are still chucking millions of £ at the club every year simply to keep it on life support. They have a quite reasonable ambition to make to club self sustainable in line with the rules of the league, and should the chance for a promotion come around support it as best they can, whilst not jeopardising sustainability. They did that last season with Warburton, failed. I have no sympathy for the owners, but the people who are ****ing up are the ‘football people’, at every level by the look of it.
