WoL quoting the mailonline. I couldn't be arsed to go via my vpn (daily fail banned in Thailand) as I don't give this story much credence. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-west-ham-sakho-14025774
Getting Gunnar up and running more important than adding to our squad. Sorely missed over last four or five games......we've 'got away with it' but can't see that lasting much longer....need him back and firing...at least till the summer.
There's no doubt the squad's been decimated by injury and Gunnar's absence is part of that. Strength in depth will be the answer particularly over the busy Christmas period, and having Gunnar available will take the pressure off. I just hope his current absence is just through injury and not in any way political. With everyone fit I think we have enough to get a top 6 slot at the very least. The autos are also certainly not out of the question and it's just a toss up whether spending anything like 12 mill on another striker will give us a better chance than we already have. If Tan puts up the dosh and it doesn't affect the FFP rules then fair enough, but I can't see it.
Declan wanted on a permanent deal by rangers, reading and Leeds. Can we sell him in the middle of a season long loan? sport/football/reading-join-leeds-united-chase-14027701
City will need some more bodies in January. The non injured players are due injuries. Some are due back granted but there’ll be more injuries to come.
You could be right Nin - here's a decent City squad. Cardiff City's injured XI: Camp; Richards, Morrison, Feltscher; Pilkington, K. Harris, Bryson, Gunnarsson; Bogle, Ward, Zohore. Subs: Gounongbe & Healey.
Aye, but I don't fancy Pilks at left back though. Come to think of it, Colin doesn't seem to fancy him anywhere on the pitch............
I read that he didn't make the bench on Monday even though he was named. Had a muscle spasm so stayed on the bus.
Failsonline says we are looking at a move for out if favour Wolves midfielder Ben Marshall. They signed him from Blackburn last year. I seem to recall him scoring a cracker against us in a televised first game of the season a few years ago. Solid Championship player with over 200 appearances and 20 goals. Can play right Back and wing according to Wiki. Do we need another winger? Or right back for that matter with Jazz due back in January?
Saw that Bluey. Being a solid Championship player, means we wont need him next season. You are right about him being the right type for now, and by that I mean a "Warnock type" player. Solid and rugged who I'd have thought should play inside mid rather than out wide. If Gunnar does have to go under the knife, he'd be a candidate for the second half of the season - if Ralls or Damour get crocked we could very thin in that area. If Warnock isn't going to play Tomlin other than off the bench, another creative player could be a better investment - especially a fit one this time!
One the other way - no great loss...... https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...eltscher-Quit-Club-LA-Galaxy-EFL-Championship
Nice to see Mehmet saying that money will be available in January, not sure if Warnock will pay the silly prices January brings though.
I think it goes to show the trust they have in Warnock. He won't spend it for the sake of spending it. He's probably got change left over from the Summer transfer business anyway. Heard the interview with Dalman as I was listening to the game while I was driving. Quite entertaining. When pushed on transfers in or out he said they were speaking to the wrong man as Warnock knew more than him. He also said when pushed on Warnocks position at the club next year said that They'd do what they needed to keep him and if he said he was leaving that they'd do what they could to change his mind. The other amusing bit for me was when asked about their lofty position and if the board was getting excited about the possibility of promotion Dalman said there was a long way to go and he'd start getting excited when Neil did. Priceless.
