Besiktas after Gunnar - now this the other way?............. http://sportwitness.co.uk/cardiff-city-offer-e7m-midfielder-nearly-half-everton-prepared-pay/
Seen that story this morning. Total bollox - where do they get this cr@p from? Jerome may have some mileage - id have him back.
Tan has said that money will be available but not silly money. 7mill euro might not be silly for the player but it's silly for our club. Western Mail & Echo plus Walesonline will publish all the rubbish. I think the only ex-Cardiff player we are not chasing is Whitts
More on Jerome.......... http://carrowroad.net/index.php?pos...eron-jerome-available-for-cut-price-p15m-deal
Given our last 3 results City need a lot of new players. Lose today and that’ll be more games lost in 10 days than all season up to 22 December.
I think with Ken, bogle, ward and Healey we have enough fire power. Need to sort the supply though. I'd invest in a centre mid and a winger. Oh, and cover at left back.
City need a goal scorer which they don’t possess. City need a couple of central midfielders. Gunner seems permanently injured. Playing Peltier there was crazy. Plus some much deserved luck given each game we are now being cheated by wrong refereeing decisions. Come to think of it City could be looking for a new manager soon.
I really don't know how much mileage there in this (probably none) but I've had a New Year greeting by email this evening from an Everton supporter I've known for donkey's years through business. He also mentioned that Allardyce is looking to put Besic out on loan and Cardiff has been mentioned. Don't shoot the messenger - I'm just passing on a rumour with no evidence other than that.
Any rumour is better than none. I can’t still quite believe our 11 point buffer in the play off spots just disintegrated in 10 days.
Back to the days of the Dave Jones style collapses. I'm not surprised though. Too many key players out injured in recent weeks and those remaining could only play up for so long. The danger is that the likes of Morrison and Gunnar (if ever) return before they are 100% match fit. We are seeing this with Zohore who could probably do without playing in the cup but unless Bogle is fit we will be a little short in the striking department as Healey doesn't have the pace and physique to play up top on his own - and is also not yet fully up to speed. I think the same applies to NML who has not been the same player since he came back from injury. Whoever new players we sign, it will be helpful if they have played regularly for their clubs and will arrive match fit - otherwise we will have another period of getting these guys up to match readiness.
