    I think it is good for him to have competition, and think the new chap will wait a few weeks, but I'd expect him to get the starting role if he impresses of the bench.

    Romeu stepping up his game because of Diallo? Vestergaard stepping up his game because of Salisu? Quite possibly. Amazing what a bit of competition can do. Hence my wish for a signing to apply some pressure on Redmond.

    That said, it was only Burnley and WBA.

    Romeu has good games and bad games. He also likes yellow cards and suspensions. We absolutely needed another option at DM and I'm sure both Romeu and Diallo will get plenty of game time this season.

    Maybe. It always annoys me when players work hard when their place is threatened, although they are only human perhaps I should give them a break.

    Coming from someone who can get by in his job with minimal effort I shouldn’t be hypocritical!

    Good signing, I'm optimistic that he will actually be an upgrade on Hojbjerg. That's how we progress.

    God, most of all I'm happy to see some depth to the squad and be able to call an experienced player from the bench!
