Probably worth a thread of it's own now?
The lad considered worse than Aurier? Hmm...
Yeah, this isn't an exciting signing. At least it's a loan.
Text one of my best mates who is a very level-headed Spurs STH who comes to watch Saints with me sometimes...
"He’s not even our second choice RB and he’s the only other RB at the club. Not good enough for us and not good enough for you either."
He doesn't have to be good, he just needs to be fit.
I mean, it can't get much worse than Danso at RB, right?
This must be true. Welcome Kyle!
Pity it wont help us with the cup replay at spurs though if it's a loan from them.
Don't repeat the thread title in mixed company. Definitely don't repeat the thread title while growing a silly mustache.
I'm mildly optimistic with this one now. Yes, he's behind Aurier (who can be a calamity), but he's young, has potential/ still learning, English, has Premier League experience and can provide cover at fullback, where we are struggling. Let's not write him off already. We did the same with Bertrand when we brought him from Chelski, and he turned out to be a fine piece of business in the end.
FAO FLT this is KYLE not KYLIE !
Its certainly as good an opportunity as you can expect when signing somebody to be backup for half a season.
Also not many I trust more than ralph to get the best out of a player. Look what he's done to Stephens.
And he couldn't play in the replay anyway as we didn't have him for the first game.
So he's doubly banned.....does that mean his eligible!
I think everyone needs to calm down and not over react to this signing.
Let's give Jeremy the opportunity to succeed before we all go taking the ****ing piss, yeah...
my Spurs mate loves him and reckons he needs a loan move to get back on track.
I have no spurs mates.
I have no opinion on him either.
But if it is an incoming I am excited
I think we are getting to the stage that that Southampton pot of gold dust that we used to sprinkle on players has been found again.
If Kyle Walker-Peters does sign for us I would feel confident that Ralph would be the perfect manager to get the best out of him. Just because he hasn't become a first team regular at Spurs it doesn't mean he can't come good with the right training, encouragement and guidance.
The very least we can do is to give the guy a chance and not trash him before Ralph has time to work with him. Mourinho doesn't have a great track record in spotting talented players. He likes big names and big transfer fees because it fits with his ego. If he feels Kyle Walker-Peters doesn't fit into his plans, that doesn't mean he is no good.
Can't we just pretend that we are signing Kyle Walker......
I have no mates, that's why I'm on here.
