    Wow, just watched his first interview and he genuinely gets choked up.

    Theo is a top pro and a really good person to have around the training ground. Was very popular at Arsenal.

    He'll be a good person to drop into our dressing room, I feel.

    Am reading that he took a hit on his bonuses because other clubs were offering to pay a higher percentage of his salary than we were. Also reading that at the end of the season, Saints have a further one year option on his contract when he becomes a free agent.

    Wonder what his bonuses were, he was hardly a big part of their squad <laugh>

    I’ll stick my neck out with this prediction: if he can stay fit and adapt to the press, he will be a better option as a starter than Redmond.

    On the flip side, hopefully this signing brings out better performances from Redmond.

    Ralph hasn’t brought him in for sentimental reasons, but playing for your boyhood club adds that extra bit of motivation, pride, joy, passion to your game

    His attitude in the dressing room will be spot on, he’s always been humble, but relatively speaking he’s played with the big boys

    He never quite realised his potential but was never truly happy where he played. I wonder how that will work with the Ralph. They must have discussed how he would fit in

    And as a starter he’s a player on the bench who can change things when he comes on and we need that badly

    All I can say is a big welcome home Theo!!!!!! To finish at the club which gave him his chance is a bonus I think. It will be a big incentive for him to give his all. You cant blame him for going for the big money when he left us. Surprised he went to Everton. But I guess money was still talking to him. He's Home now ..........So lets be 'avin you Theo COYS!! <cracker>

    Great tune, that. Had a surprisingly big influence on music and youth culture, did Dexys. I notice those beanie hats seem to making a comeback too.
