Alan Johnson, the former Labour Secretary of State for education and skills, has openly said the teaching unions have 'got it wrong' on school reopening. He advised the teaching unions to put the children first. His comments echoed Lord Blunkett, who was a former Labour Secretary for Education and Employment. He accused the unions of working against the interests of the children. These comments followed former Labour schools minister, Lord Adonis, accusing the unions of making a'serious misjudgement' and were out of sync with the public.

So Boris is in good company with those you can trust.

...and many who dont.... . we need to critically think for ourselves...

Medical science is by nature a conservative discipline....you minimize risk...... there are so many gold standard trials now indicating a high level of risk.....

not for further discussion on this humour thread.. I have posted a link on the main coronavirus thread

After two NASA astronauts travel to the ISS, 400km above the Earth’s surface, critics say surely there’s a cheaper way to test their eyesight.

I'm sure that Cummings would point out that he travelled much further for his at a fraction of the cost. Probably billed the taxpayers too...

I heard that Boris is about as able to sack Cummings as Baldrick is to sack Blackadder.
