In my opinion the government are starting to look poor with their firefighting responses.

Believe me, I want them to come out of this covered in praise and glory ...

... but every aspect of the NHS is struggling without adequate testing, protection, ventilators, etc.

Ordinary NHS workers are having to choose which patients they allow to die.

Boris Johnson's bombastic 'rallying cries' are looking increasingly hollow and he seems to be hiding away, leaving wet clones like Hancock to splutter his way through statements.

This isn't a political attack, I'd be feeling equally sad and worried whoever was in power.

    Absolutely.

The constant stream of ‘reasons’ for the lack of testing is almost cringeworthy.

They underfund the NHS for years and then say ‘we don’t have the capacity of Germany’.

Why don’t we? Because you underfunded the ****ing NHS (whilst raising every single one of our NI payments, as a side note).

Like yourself mate, not aimed at the party in power as they’d likely all have done it.

Education and healthcare should never see budget cuts. Never.

In this age of technology the sight of our Prime Minister blustering into a mobile phone for 30 seconds is quite disheartening.

If ever there was a time for leadership this it ...

... and our leader is barely seen, very poor tbh.

He could quite easily be the figurehead he's supposed to be and give a daily statement to camera ...

... I have Skype calls to the UK any time I choose, its very easy.

The people giving the news conferences are so weak looking and evasive it makes me cringe.

They didn’t have to commit to a ‘daily address to the nation’, that was foolish.

It’s just made the gaping gaps in the leadership apparent.

The fact is, even when he was present, Boris just palmed every question off to whoever was stood near him anyway.

I have just watched Matt Hancock on question time and after a week where we have had it drummed into us that you can ,only drive if you are going to work or the shops, and anyone driving to locations to go for walks face prosecution, he just went and said in front of millions that this is OK as long as you social distanced.. Unbelievable for a so called spokesperson.

Mrs Smug is frightened mate, she watched Question Time hoping for answers and is now more worried.

Hancock is recovering from a very recent CV infection and 'believes' it's safe to go back to work and into the QT studio.

He seems so unsure about the guidelines and testing, shame when we need clarity above all else.

Weve not had clarity from day one even his beloved daily mail are giving him some stick

I hope we dee get 100,000 tested daily before the end of the month I somehow I doubt it

I'm still hoping though by end of June we're back to some sort of normality

We have to be where already starting to see the economic fall out

Reckon more than 3 months going to decimate this country

Thanks mate, really hit home yesterday. I spoke with my cousin who was attempting to organise the funeral.

The decisions she had to make and to hear the pain, anger and sadness in her voice will haunt me.

I hope everyone on here and their families are staying safe and get through this with everyone intact

It's awful mate and I'm sorry you are going through with it.

It hits harder with me when I know someone who is going through the loss of people they know. It's moved from people on the news to people I personally care about being hurt by this.

A good friend of mines mam died yesterday from Covid-19. She was a lady who lived just up the road from me in my youth. This has certainly brought it home to me.

It's going to affect a lot more of us before it's over i'm afraid. A lot of people are going to lose loved ones.

I hope that through the pain it's going to bring that it eventually wakes up these bloody idiots who think that they're immune.

We're about to have the easter weekend and over here i'm already hearing that people are planning their weekends away at the holiday spots even though the locals are asking them to stay away. I think we're going to see a large spike as a result of easter.

Yes, this lockdown really seems to be getting to people ....

"Police were called to the home of Boris Johnson and his partner, Carrie Symonds, in the early hours of Friday morning after neighbours heard a loud altercation involving screaming, shouting and banging."
