I noticed he has been anti lockdown all the time . Probably wants to get back to talkng waffle on Sky and on the golf course.
Kabasele has spoken. Seems like he is happy to go back training but supports Deeney's decision. So no doubt the tabloid media will turn it into "he doesn't want the season to happen" or something like that. Think the neutral ground issue is in the bin now ? Strangely the criticism went quiet when a few more teams with high profile voted against the idea. http://sportwitness.co.uk/taking-su...hits-neutral-venue-plan-defender-troy-deeney/
I have just been reading about the discussions taking place here in France about what the two professional leagues should do for the next season whenever that might be. Similar questions about promotion and relegation that exist in England, but of course the difference is that football was stopped full stop. Although no final decision has been made yet it is moving in the direction of no relegations, but promotions. This would expand the two leagues from 20 clubs to 22. There may in the end be the decision to keep it that way, or reduce it back to 20 over two seasons. Of course there are one or two clubs that will miss out, but it does seem to be the way to minimise the damage to the majority.
2 more players isolating.. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-while-uk-quarantine-rules-may-hit-uefa-plans
Trying to decide which club is the most embarrassing at the moment, Hull City or Watford? Nah, Deeney is such a whinging soft **** it's definitely Watford.
They will be promoted if the season is cancelled anyway going by what has been said in recent days. Kabasele been doing a bit of trolling on Twitter.
It is amazing how different types of papers get totally opposing headlines out of a set of quotes: https://www.bing.com/news/search?q=tom cleverley&FORM=HDRSC6 The tabloids really do stir up trouble whilst the broadsheets are more balanced. I'd almost say its better for us not to say anything.
Then they wonder why footballers don't give their honest views as it gets mis reported so much or they can get abused by other supporters.
One of the players comes from Bournemouth, and the other case, player/staff from a different club, but not Watford or Burnley. So with four clubs now that is 25% of the EPL. At what percentage will people start to question what is happening?
BBC sport all upbeat this morning... .very small percentage of those tested..... good news etc......quite disappointing really
They won't - will need to be a much higher number and probably in player or team profile before anything is considered worrying.
In Germany, which is at least a month ahead of us, they had much higher positive tests initially and indeed i think one whole team is currently quarantined. So the numbers would need to get much worse here for it to make a difference. What I would say is that training in Germany started when their infection rate and their death rate were much lower than ours are currently now. We are still having daily deaths in the hundreds.
All sadly true Chris. We have heard a lot about the R number that indicates how many people could pass it on. Despite what they keep saying it hasn't moved in the past three weeks. It seems to be stuck on 0.7 - 1.0. They have said that if schools go back too soon it will rise again, which is why Scotland and N. Ireland are not proposing to reopen before the Autumn.
