New CV regulation in the Netherland. The bit that affects us is that only essential travel will be permitted to and from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague. from 6pm today for at least three weeks. We're in the Hague our boat is in a marina in Rotterdam it's an ongoing project with a list of "to do's"(as all boats have). I'm off in a soon to do the most needed things to make it safe and sound if we can't get to it although we can bike the 20K in an hour or so direct to the boat without contact. I'll get it cleared before we do it the fines can be heavy and above €100 get noted as a criminal record. It's a lovely day tempting to have a spin up the Schie.

Things appear to be moving again though as I have been called in for a GP check up and, today, called in for a hospital check up that's a year overdue. I'm not a serious case, but it's good to see some things moving again. As said though, there will be collateral damage in physical and mental health....and in the world economy....for years, maybe decades.

I am not aiming this at anyone on here at all (lol before I get blocked), and everyone is totally entitled to their opinions. But OMG. Facebook is full of morons.

I have worked in IT for over 30 years, and the last 10 has been specifically IT security. I work now in the credit card industry and security and privacy is paramount. Seriously guys, some of the misinformation about stuff is a joke.

I understand concerns about surveillance etc. I understand concerns over privacy...I actually promote it. But sometimes, you have to believe what people are saying that do it for a living, rather than a random YouTuber or FB post.

The irony is that it is posted on twitter or facebook....a public forum that people can social engineer a profile about you and hack you.

Trust me. Paying contactless or by card is safe. "The government won't profile you" or "the government won't know where you are at all times" and decide to raid your house. They really don't care about you.

I'm not naive. I am an adult and work in the industry (didn't vote for the current govt BTW).

Just try to be a citizen and this will all go away.
