I fear the isolation more than the virus.

 

The funny thing is maybe I'll be the first one to crack lol. Been training for this for the last 4 years as a home worker and will probably be the first not 606 member to lose the plot

 

Yep, had a day like that too.

 

In the overall scheme of things, given that we haven’t been testing enough people, the figures may be meaningless, as there could be many more thousands infected, that we don’t know about.
But as a percentage of a known figure it serves a purpose.
It allows us to compare like for like with other countries and allows questions to be asked as to how some are keeping their death rate low, whilst others are seeing it rocket.

Adequate supplies of the right equipment being used by properly trained staff backed up by ancillaries all wearing the correct PPE?
My wife is still working in an assisted housing facility here in the Hague. All the PPE and cleansing needed is in place, training given and she and her colleagues are encouraged to to take home gloves, masks, hand and surface cleaner for their homes and families.

 

I hope so as I have found today insanely stressful and I ain't even done nothing!

 

We're letting the spicy carbonara settle before hitting the cheese, St Nectaire that's at pouring consistency it is ripe!

Just a bit of chili not fiery hot

 

Never had a spicy version before sounds bit on exotic side for me

 

Indonesian wife, our recipes crossover although chili isn't that unusual in Italian kitchens. Given the time we have on our hands a bit of fun experimenting in the kitchen is good therapy. Along with a glass of wine of course.

 

Well, yesterday I cleaned the tiles in the bathroom, just to get me off my backside and off the iPad.
Today, I spent a little time re-organising storage space in the spare room, and making it tidier.
Tomorrow I have the delight of deep cleaning the shower cubicle.
Got a couple of nicks on the car, from clumsy parkers, opening their doors too far, so TCut at the ready for Saturday’s delight.
Good preparation for retirement, which would have been in July, had the government not played around with retirement ages, the bastards.

 

Dolly Parton has pledged $1m to Vanderbilt University, in her home state of Tennessee, to support research into a cure for Covid-19.

Is that a cure to alleviate symptoms and prevent deaths or a vaccine to prevent the disease?

 

Research. But it raises awareness, and hopefully encourages more of the rich to follow suit.
