In the overall scheme of things, given that we haven’t been testing enough people, the figures may be meaningless, as there could be many more thousands infected, that we don’t know about. But as a percentage of a known figure it serves a purpose. It allows us to compare like for like with other countries and allows questions to be asked as to how some are keeping their death rate low, whilst others are seeing it rocket.
Adequate supplies of the right equipment being used by properly trained staff backed up by ancillaries all wearing the correct PPE? My wife is still working in an assisted housing facility here in the Hague. All the PPE and cleansing needed is in place, training given and she and her colleagues are encouraged to to take home gloves, masks, hand and surface cleaner for their homes and families.

Tomorrow I have the delight of deep cleaning the shower cubicle. Got a couple of nicks on the car, from clumsy parkers, opening their doors too far, so TCut at the ready for Saturday’s delight.
