Haha, it wasn’t quite like that, more of a group chat as we all made our way out of the small, family restaurant. I was thanking the people who worked there for one of the nicest Italian meals I’d had in a long time and one of them was struggling with his mask, saying he’s getting a headache ever night since wearing it. I made a comment about the absurdity of 10pm, noticed a woman in an adjacent table listening in and laughing, asked if she laughed because she agreed or not, she said she did and it developed from there.

I get what you’re saying about the parliamentary democracy, but there were many who I believe wanted to argue against the extension of the bill, but ultimately weren’t present and were fobbed off with hancock’s, “we’ll consult you on the main points.....where possible”

So I wondered how people felt, because perhaps with enough pressure on our individual MP’s, they might continue to speak up, knowing that their seats are valuable to them.

Hopefully he gets a morning slot on GB News singing a breathy country version of the national anthem daily.

Not yet, it has been advised by an advisory health group, but no decision has been made as yet

I remember some on here laughing when I posted something from Guido in the past... Now Guido is the font of all information and truth? I guess it just suits your argument today?

Guido tends to be a laughable borderline far right comic. The point isn’t that it’s the “font of all information and truth”. It’s that it’s unusual for them to go in on the Tories. Ditto The Mail.

You’re free to defend them all you want but you’ll be in a dwindling minority.

And It certainly is dwindling. Who ever is in charge of Johnson, really need to keep him away from the cameras, it's becoming painfully embarrassing now.

Amendment - Ireland's governmental health advisors are calling for it, and ministers are meeting to decide

PS just seen Shawswood's qualification which is correct

I'm very concerned about my rights but don't see it as any infringement of them or unnecessary. We can argue the merits about whether it should be 12, 11, 10 or sunset but equally I do resent the fact that some people feel they are entitled to go on doing whatever they want whenever they want to and the rest of us have to 'suffer' as a consequence.. To me a large driver of the situation we are in now is that this dictator sweeping a ay our rights and freedoms made the cardinal error of relaxing the restrictions way too soon, in an illogical way and before the great British public could be trusted to be sensible. They have caused this.

No I don't particularly like Jezza as he obviously has problems with the Jewish community.
Anyway back to Covid.... I couldn't believe that France has only downloaded 3m of it's equivalent app? Whereas here 14m have downloaded the NHS App and 18m in Germany. For this whole thing to work everybody needs to be onboard.

Just to bring up another aspect of the Covid 19 restrictions - the most supported clubs in England at the moment are: Hednesford Town, South Shields, FC United of Manchester, Hyde United, Stafford Rangers and Weston Super Mare ! The reason being that they are all plying their trade lower than the Nationwide Leagues - which means they are still allowed up to 30% of their ground capacity on match days. I watched the highlights of the FA Cup Preliminary round game between Tiverton Town and Taunton Town on YouTube and there were 2 sets of fans at both ends (changing at half time like in the old days). This was in the second round - but what happens next - when clubs who are allowed fans start being drawn against clubs who aren't ? This is all a bit arbitrary in that all of the 6 clubs mentioned earlier are allowed fans whereas Hemel Hempstead Town FC, who get lower crowds than them, aren't by virtue of being a league higher.
