    Oh god here we go.<doh>
Those 70 rebels (more like 50) believe something different to what the government is saying and they will vote on what they think is best. whether you agree or disagree with them is up to you, but at least they are voting. If you believe that sitting on your hands when you should be voting on something so important is the way to go then that's your choice. It's nothing but political games from the opposition.

No problem with the payments but a proper wage rise would be more beneficial long term. A clever and some might say cynical ploy by Sturgeon who is under pressure over the Salmond case...

It was a pretty simple question, but true to form you dodge it. Your choice, fine.

This is not about what I believe Sb. I am not an elected MP who makes decisions. I just expect MP's to vote (whatever way) with something as important as this.
They all managed to vote on Brexit issues and note many complained when MP's went against the government then did they? I remember a few saying that they "Stuck by their principles"... different now it seems? Anyway those MP's who abstain will surely not have anything to complain about in the future?

Why can’t you answer a simple question? What is there to be scared or ashamed of in sharing your opinion as opposed to simply sniping away at your political opponents. For what it’s worth I would support the government on stronger tiers in current circumstances. What about you?

As I said in my original post, I'm no fan of the SNP. Their record on education is appalling.

Totally agree, but this is a welcome boost for thsse on the front line

Not scared of anything to say. Not sniping at political opponents either. I just think it's shameless for abstaining. Maybe before you worry about my views you should be asking why elected politicians are sitting on their hands?

Expect a bounce up in positive tests as loads of students get tested prior to going home. Most are being given this flow test thing which seems pretty dodgy but is fast. My daughter got a negative result in 30 minutes (but as she had tested positive and isolated a couple of months back a positive would have been surprising).

Otherwise, positive cases per 100k (admittedly not a great measure compared to hospital admissions, because it’s so testing dependent) is plummeting in many places which would seem to show that lockdowns work. Making it even more mystifying as to why you would want to loosen restrictions before definitive control is achieved.

Oh go on. I was enjoying the spectacle that a poster who is fond of telling us all his views on everything under the sun evades answering a simple question on a forum to express OPINIONS.

It’s a bit of a complex issue though for a binary question (that rings a bell). If they vote with the government, Johnson drags Labour down with him and chances and can legitimately, because it’s a binary question, claim he has Labour’s support despite Starmer’s criticism of him. If they oppose, they’re painted as the party against protecting people and seen to be siding with the ****test parts of the UKIP Tories.

Basically either way stupid ****s are going to find a way to blame the leader and party with no power rather than the leader and party who have left us with one of the worst death rates and worst economic decline on the continent after spending the most to avoid those outcomes.

Not for the first time to this dumb question, he’s a ****ing politician so of course he is. Sadly Johnson’s chosen to play with lives to put us in this position.

Remember, Thanks to higher Scottish Income Tax, the SNP tax Scottish Doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals about £1,500 more per year in tax than if they worked in England.

The £500 rebate is about 1/3rd of the extra tax she takes off them every year. #SNP20

What do you know about the lateral flow test? Yeadon pointed out the vast differences in the results obtained by the PCR and the LFT and concluded that one of them must be very wrong.

No special information mate, but an assumption that, given that they are cheaper, easier to administer and much quicker to give a result, they would be used universally if they were the more accurate, or even as accurate. Yeadon and others are right, there must be something wrong with one or both of the tests.

But as I said above I don’t think test results are the best metric.

It’s a direct quote so the source is really not relevant. You’re clearly desperate to talk about politics so stop being a tart and post on the politics thread.
