https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...ws/angus-macdonald-hull-city-barnsley-5212944 Ehab will be pleased with the payout for Angus MacDonald medical history saga . Chien Lee won't be best pleased.
Given the panel said there was 'no dishonesty by anyone' it's hard to see why it came out in our favour or what the £1m is meant to be compensation for. If it's for the supposed iron deficiency wouldn't we have picked that up at his medical?
Good on the allams challenging it, if I remember correctly they where slated for it on here at the time Hopefully that's another ( almost ) £1m off the debt.... Yes that is a straw I'm clutching
the irony is we only buy players if there's something wrong with them, if we knew there was an iron deficiency in advance, we'd probably have paid more for him
Game, set and match to the Allams. You better get yourself a good lawyer if you cross them in business.
Oh yes , forgot about the Rosedowns thing . The place is listed but the last time I saw it , it's a bit of an eyesore .
If you are interested, check Mike McCarthy (BBC Radio Sheffield) Twitter feed - lots of info, some red acted, of the background to the transfer and the panels verdict, incl breaking down the £1m. Clearly very astute work from Ehab. Just a tad irritating that we are referred to throughout the documents as’HCT’ which I guess is Hull City Tigers.

Does make you wonder if Barnsley had just accepted the non payment of £200k at the time and come to an agreement that this would be the end of the matter, they may well have been a lot better off?
Charmed by slimy smooth-talking lawyers.... y'know, the ones who can sniff out greed driven clients. Happens all the time.
It's staggering what these lawyers charge, if OLM is right and £700k+ was City's legal costs, then Barnsley's own legal fees would probably have been a similar amount, so it may well have cost them another £700K on top of the £950K they have to pay City?
No it looks crap, but I suspect HCC would have made a similar decision whoever the owner of of the building was. Many would probably think the fact it's the Allams was a bonus for HCC. Hearing a rumour they may flog it to Manor Group!
I found some of the reasons for refusal a bit confusing. HCC said if was an industrial area, yet across the road is a council housing estate. I'm just surprised the Allams wanted to invest in the middle of Hull.
