Anyone got any god recommendations for country pubs in the North East? Am looking at getting out more for meals and stuff with the family as Winter draws in and like a change of scenery from time to time.
I don't know if I would class it as a country pub or not but the Anglers Arms at Weldon Bridge is a must for a Sunday lunch. Food is absolutely belting. And there is the small matter of most of the staff being fit young flirty hotties (shallow to the end)...
Funnily enough we're planning on a "family" day out on Sunday, might have to suggest this place.......purley based on your food recommendation of course Pouchy
I would say not, but that's got me wondering about Tall Trees....is that still there mate? Had some mental nights out there when they were doing the all you can drink wristband thingy....fooking mental !!
Apparently it burnt down: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ch...s/tall-trees-nightclub-yarm-fire-13238556.amp
Honestly the food was belting last time I was in. I've only ever went for Sunday lunch but I've heard its good all the time. I suppose for the lads of a certain age on here, I would describe it like the old coaching inns as opposed to a country pub. Very traditional. You can stay there but I never have as its not that far for me and none of the young hotties have requested my company for the evening surprisingly
I know a lot of cracking ones across the dales, Richmond, Darlo. Depends how much you want to travel.
