    What annoys me is all this clamour for opening up borders and travel at any price, under the circumstances hard as they may be This virus is still with us and its totally irresponsible to even suggest otherwise in my opinion.

    I believe if you’ve had COVID you have to wait 1 month from positive test

    Had text through on Thursday inviting me for jab. Text was from Doctors and jab to be arranged at Washington Primary care centre. So far every time Ive accessed appropriate link it comes up no appointments available and advises to keep trying daily

    Mrs received letter from NHS today inviting her for Jab and to dial 119. She did but nearest on offer was Bishop Auckland.which she declined.Was advised to try a gain another day
    I guess all us over 65s will probably be rushing to get jab hence no appointments at moment

    Owner of Weatherspoons has been demanding that they re-open the pubs. Tory Backbenchers calling on their own Government to relax the measures. Idiotic!

    We saw last summer and more recently, what happens if you let the nation go out and get pissed. Social distancing goes out of the window and the R rate rises quicker than we can deal with it.

    Open everything up now and we'll be in another lockdown in October. We are doing great with the rollout of the virus, but people need to remember that most of the 15 million have only had 1 of the 2 vaccinations that are needed and there's new variants popping up all over the place.

    Get on top of this virus during this lockdown, no matter how long it takes, and administer booster jabs every year, and we won't need another COVID lockdown at all. Loads of people are saying they are sick of the unsurity of going in and out of lockdowns - well lets deal with it once and for all FFS!

    My daughter, who has Downs Syndrome, got her letter last Tuesday. I rang our Doctor's surgery and they booked her in for Saturday at Houghton. Have you tried ringing the surgery instead of going online?

    Well they say they've only just opened it up for over 65s but I suppose they are ahead of schedule. Ive waited this long and not that bothered about it as its early days in this next phase. Plus I dont really want to travel to far so Nightingale or Washy will be my choice

    Yeah these irresponsible drinkers spoilt it for all
    Pubs were safe and social distance was adhered to
    However when the idiots got out side and started drunken partying and behaviour
    It spoilt for the sensible drinkers

    @Jack Ford
    I've checked with my daughter who sometimes works at the Primary Care Centres administering the vaccine. She says they are waiting for the next delivery before releasing the next batch online.
    The deliveries are normally on a Tuesday, so the best time to go online might be between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning mate. Hope you get fixed up.

    I was in Consett Morrisons on Saturday, its not very good is it. This thing about one person per household.....i think it only applies to the elderly in there. Ive read on here about someone being stopped going in a store as a couple, so one had to go sit in the car. On Saturday at Morrisons there was a family walked in, in front of me... husband/wife and 4 kids. Not a word said by the morrisons security gadgie on the door.
